Ather Energy Announces New Features For Rizta And 450

Ather Energy today, at its Ather Community Day, announced a new set of features for its existing lineup, Rizta and 450, and also showcased its EL01 concept scooter, which is built on a new platform called EL. This was a huge day for the brand as they celebrated their success with media friends and the owners of their scooters. So, what all new features did they show today? Let's find out. Ather Energy

Beginning with Ather Rizta Z - the higher verson of the Rizta, which is equipped with a 7 inch TFT, powered by Snapdragon 212 quadcore 1.3Ghz, will now become a touchscreen via OTA updates. Yes, you heard that right. So, even the exisiting owners of this variant will get to use the touchscreen response and manually set destination on app and move ahead. This is a great usage of OTA (Over-the-air) updates technology.

Another update - The Rizta Z now comes in a new Terracotta Red shade with a super-matte dual-tone finish, along with a refreshed user interface and a new Eco mode.

Post this, they have the Ather Energy Fast Charger with a 6 kW capacity, which can charge the battery to 100% in just 55 minutes, giving a range of 130 km. Moreover, in just 10 minutes, it provides 30 km of range - basically a full day's range, considering two-wheeler owners usually travel about this much in a day. Lastly, they are also equipped with tyre inflators.

Ather Energy - Infinite Cruise Control

This is the most intersting section of the whole event where Ather showcased its Infinite Cruise Control feature - exclusive to Ather 450 Apex, coming in the first week of September. So, whole lot of feautres are they are:-

• The cruise control holds your selected speed, pauses momentarily when you press the brake, and resumes at a new speed when you twist the throttle. It works seamlessly across all speeds.
• This system also works on hills - whether you're going up hill or down hill - it maintains the speed and doesn't disengage the momentem.
• Crawl Control - Even on rough patches, cruise control works seamlessly with the help of traction control, allowing the rider to set speeds as low as 10 km/h.
• It works seamlessly with the help of sensors, drive control system, and traction control and in case of any collision of accident, this system pauses.

Voice Assistant Function

Ather Energy has now given its scooters a voice - one that talks, guides, and alerts the rider, all in a soft and non-intrusive tone. Since Ather scooters already feature several active and passive safety systems, this voice assistant works like a "sensor with a mouth," warning the rider before anything happens. For example, if there's a road full of potholes ahead, it alerts you before you reach that section, or if rain is approaching, it notifies you in advance.

This feature is part of Atherstack 7.0 - their latest and most advanced proprietary tech powering all Ather scooters. Along with the updates mentioned above, it also provides tyre pressure monitoring, live location sharing alerts, and other crucial rider information.

Additionally, Ather has introduced an emergency crash alert system. In the event of an accident, if the scooter tips over, its blinkers will turn on, the horn will sound, and the TFT display will show "Crash Detected" in red while displaying the emergency contact details. This alert is also mirrored in the Ather app - so if your sibling or family member is riding and encounters an accident, owner will receive an instant notification.
