Simple One

The Simple One looks fantastic for an electric scooter and why not. The company knows that it will lock horns with the likes of the Ola S1 Pro and the Ather 450X and hence had to design this one to look modern, sharp and sporty. As compared to the design that we first saw in August last year, Simple Energy has worked hard to make it look even more appealing. The front definately changed and looks sharper than ever before. The DRLs are striking, the indicators are sharp and the full LED headlamp is very effective in the dark. The rear is another highlight with a great design for the tail lamp, indicators and the grab rail. The scooter runs on 12 inch wheels with 90mm wide front and rear tyres. There will be an option to pick wider 100mm front and 110mm rear once the deliveries start. On offer are four colour options that include black, blue, red and white. In terms of size, the Simple One is larger than the Ola S1 Pro.

The Simple One gets dual battery set-up. The main unit is stored under the floor and has a capcity of 3.3 kWh. The second is a 1.5 kWh portable unit that can be accessed from under the seat. This is removable and you can charge it up at home or workplace.  Ofcouerse when you charge the scooter from the socket locked near the handle bar, both the batteries get charged up. In terms of time, the company claims it takes just over 4 hours and during delivery process, customers will have an option to buy a fast charger that will quicked up the process and bring down time by 50%. The combined capacity of both the batteries is 4.8 kWh and this gives you a real word range of 200km in the Eco mode. The certified range on the other hand is 236km under test conditions. 

There is no doubt that the 2022 Simple One Electric Scooter is the quickest in the segment. At a claimed sprint time of 2.7 seconds for the 0-40 km/h run, it will definately be winning red light GPs. Top speed is limited to 105km/h and though not as fast (top speed) as the Ola S1 Pro, even 105 km/h is seriously fast for a scooter. The electric motor churns out 4.5 KW and a peak torque of 72Nm. This is available from the word GO and the Simple One does feel very very quick off the feat. There are four modes on offer, namely the Eco, Ride, Dash and Sonic. Top speed is limited to 45 km/h in the Eco mode, 65 km/h in the Ride Mode and 85 in the Dash. Sonic mode is full power but does not engage when the battery drops to 40%.
