Features & Technology
The Simple One Gen 2 comes equipped with a 7-inch TFT display, with touch and non-touch options depending on the variant. It also gets traction control, four levels of regenerative braking, IP65-rated protection, inbuilt navigation, and multiple ride and system modes. Practicality is addressed with 35 litres of underseat storage.
Desing And Colour Options
The Gen 2 update also refreshes the colour palette with three new shades - Sonic Red, Asphalt X and Aero X - adding more visual flair to the lineup. Colours from the earlier generation continue, giving buyers the flexibility to choose between single-tone and dual-tone paint options, depending on whether they prefer a clean, understated look or a sportier finish.

Talking about the styling, it remains largely unchanged, but a few updates have been made to improve ergonomics, as revealed at the launch. The seat height has been lowered by 16 mm, and the seat foam is now stiffer and sportier than before - ensuring the rider sits on the scooter, not in it.
Simple Ultra Unveiled

This was showcased just before the event concluded - a glimpse of a future product called Simple Ultra. As the name suggests, it is a high-performance version, featuring a 6.5 kWh battery pack, a 0-40 km/h sprint in 2.77 seconds, and a claimed range of 400 km. For now, it was only presented as a teaser, offering a preview of the brand's future product roadmap.
Verdict
The Simple One Gen 2 is not a ground-up reinvention, but a well-judged evolution. By expanding battery options, upgrading the TFT interface and refining the overall package, Simple Energy has addressed key gaps while staying true to the scooter's original intent. For buyers considering a performance-oriented electric scooter with modern tech and configurable range, the Gen 2 feels more complete - and more convincing - than before.
