However, a lot of owners of the original 2016 Dominar 400 reported quite a lot of niggles and kudos to Bajaj Auto as the company addressed all of them positively and launched an updated version of the Dominar in early 2019 after comprehensively testing it for years. The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 UG, where UG stands for Upgrade, was leaps and bounds better than its predecessor and became even more popular in the country.

Fast forward to 2020, Bajaj Auto launched the new BS6 compliant Dominar 400 in early 2020. The 2020 Bajaj Dominar 400 didn’t get any cosmetic updates or feature add-ons, however, its mechanicals were updated to meet the new BS6 emission norms. The Dominar 400 is a great value for money adventure tourer and a lot of people use this motorcycle for their long-distance journeys. Perfect for Long Rides

Great bike for high-speed rides and long-distance tours. I traveled over 200 km in a single stretch at more than 120 km/h and got 25+ kmpl. Excellent for long drives.

Great Value for Touring

I have been using the Dominar 400 for more than 5 years. I feel it is a real value-for-money bike in this price range. It has a very good riding posture for long touring as well as city use. The engine is reliable, but I feel a little disappointed with maintenance at service centers. Overall, the bike is good and the mileage is excellent for its class compared to competitors.

Best Budget Segment Bike

Dominar 400 is the best bike in its segment overall. It performs amazingly on roads and highways. I’m damn sure it’s worth it within the budget.

Solid Mileage Performance

This bike is an awesome companion. I ride it daily and sometimes on long trips. Mileage is around 25 km/l, depending on driving style. Maintenance and occasional part availability can be tricky, but everything else is excellent.

Highly Recommended for Long Rides

A very safe, comfortable, and stable bike best for touring and long rides. I have completed the Char Dham Yatra and visited many other places on it. I would highly recommend this bike, especially for long-distance riders.
