KTM 160 Duke
The 160 Duke is the latest entrant in the Duke family, and it has replaced the 125 Duke as the entry-point in the lineup. It is based on the 200 Duke, with which it also shares its design. However, the mechanicals have been tweaked heavily and it gets a slimmer features list. The KTM 160 Duke competes against the Yamaha MT-15 V2.

Expert Verdict on 160 Duke
The 160 Duke definitely seems like an interesting idea, especially given how much it offers compared to the competition in this segment. While the 125 Duke ultimately did not work out as an entry-level Duke, KTM looks to fix that with the 160 Duke, by making the Duke brand accessible to a wider range of buyers, but without losing its hooligan nature.

Pros & Cons of KTM 160 Duke
KTM 160 Duke Detailed Review
- The 160 Duke may be an entry-level Duke, but it shares its aggressive streetfighter design with the 200 Duke, which it is also based on. The bike features sharp bodywork all around, and it is the same design from the older-gen Duke series, which gives it sleek and sharp proportions throughout, as a streetfighter typically does.
- The headlamp continues to be the split projector unit from the older Duke series, while the compact tail section and the fuel tank also continue to be familiar. However, the alloy rims are similar to what we have seen on the newer RC 390 and the 390 Duke. In terms of colour options, you can choose from a total of three options; Electronic Orange, Atlantic Blue, Silver Metallic Matte.

Seat Height | 815 mm |
Weight | 147 kg |
Fuel Tank Capacity | 10.1 liters |
- The 160 Duke’s powertrain is a bored-down version of the same unit which we have seen on the 200 Duke. It is a 164.2cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder unit, producing a mean 18.7bhp at 9500rpm and 15.5Nm of torque at 7500rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
- The 160 Duke is based on the 200 Duke, and as such it is built on a steel trellis frame, which is suspended on 43mm WP USD forks and a WP Monoshock. For braking, the 160 Duke makes use of a 320mm disc with a four-piston calliper setup at the front, along with a 230mm disc with a two-piston calliper setup at the rear. The bike tips the scales at just 147kg, which should make it quite nimble and agile.
- In terms of features, the 160 Duke gets a simpler LCD screen setup instead of the TFT unit from the 390 and the 200 Duke, which makes sense considering this is the entry-level offering in the Duke lineup. However, even then, the motorcycle seems pretty well kitted out in terms of features.
- Some other standard features offered on the KTM 160 Duke include bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, alerts for calls and SMS, and music streaming abilities. Additionally, it also comes with switchable dual-channel ABS and a gear position indicator as well.
