Five Things Tata Tigor iCNG Offers Over Its Rivals; Check It Out Here

With the debut of the new Tiago i-CNG and Tigor iCNG, Tata has made a new stride in the car industry by joining the bi-fuel category. The compact sedan category in India is limited, and it appears that the new Tata Tigor iCNG will compete with the Hyundai Aura CNG. With the launch of the CNG variant, the Tigor has gained a competitive advantage over its rivals, as it is now India's only compact sedan available in three powertrains: petrol, bi-fuel CNG, and electric. Furthermore, Tigor's build quality and other traits make it a better option than its competitors. Let's see what else it has to offer in comparison to its competitors.

Powerful Engine

The 1.2-litre Revotron 3-cylinder engine in the Tata Tigor iCNG produces 73PS and 95Nm of torque. The Hyundai Aura, on the other hand, has a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder Kappa engine that produces 69PS and 95.2Nm of torque. The Tigor iCNG offers 73 horsepower, making it the most powerful CNG compact sedan on the market in India. Both of these cars, however, have a 5-speed manual transmission.

Features

The Tata Tigor iCNG features a seven-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic air conditioning, Harman sound system, steering-mounted controls, push-button start, steering mounted controls, height-adjustable driver seat, remote keyless entry, a fully digital instrument cluster, auto-fold ORVMs, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, and a cooled glovebox, depending on the variant purchased. The Hyundai Aura CNG is available in only one trim level and includes standard equipment such as a 2-DIN music system, seat height adjustment, keyless entry, rear AC vents, power windows, central door locking, and more. This indicates that both models are well-equipped. The Tata Tigor, on the other hand, manages to outperform the Hyundai Aura in terms of features.

Safety

The recently introduced CNG version of the Tata Tigor is one of the safest automobiles in India, with the conventional form earning a solid 4-star safety rating from Global-NCAP for adult protection. Aside from that, the Tata Tigor CNG comes with a long list of safety features, including ABS with EBD, dual airbags, reverse parking sensors, cornering stability control, speed-sensitive auto door lock, and more. The Hyundai Aura also comes with a factory-installed CNG kit, as well as safety features including two airbags, speed-sensitive auto door lock, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors.

Number of Trims Available

Tata is offering three trims on the new Tigor iCNG, XZ CNG, XZ+CNG, and XZ+ Dual-Tone CNG. The Hyundai Aura CNG, on the other hand, is only available in a single base trim level. The number of features available on the Tigor varies depending on the trim level. Meanwhile, the base spec trim of the Aura CNG offers only a few features.
