Isuzu DMax EV Concept Latest Update
Last Updated On 24th Jan'25: The Isuzu D-Max Concept EV is an electric pickup truck, which made its debut in India at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This product was extremely close to being a production-ready model, and Isuzu's press release mentioned that it will first launch in Europe in 2025. To make it D-Max EV compatible, Isuzu has developed new e-axles for a full-time 4WD system.
Design: From a design perspective, Isuzu hasn’t made many changes to the D-Max model, as at first glance, one would easily recognize it. Only the front end has been tweaked with design elements that give it an EV look. For instance, the large grille is closed and features blue-colored accents, signaling that this vehicle is all about being electric.
Additionally, the LED headlights have a thin blue line running through them, and the overall interior of the headlights is darker. Other exterior traits include 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and a revised tail-light design.
Powertrain: A 66.9 kWh battery pack with dual motors placed at both the front and rear axles produces 176 PS and 325 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 130 km/h. The maximum payload capacity is 1,000 kg, and the maximum towing capacity is 3,500 kg. Also, Isuzu has developed new e-axles to make it as off-road ready as a diesel truck.
Expected Price: This electric truck will first launch in Norway in 2025, followed by the UK, Australia, and Thailand. There is no information about this truck launching in India anytime soon.
