This electric SUV comes with an 82.56 kWh battery pack, giving it a range of up to 567 km on a single charge. The Seal is available in two variants, namely Premium and Performance. Recently, the Seal’s primary rival, the KIA EV6, has received a facelift for the Indian market, improving its design, features, and battery specifications.

- The Performance variant offers an impressive output of 523bhp and 670Nm of torque. Customers can opt for either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations. Additionally, the electric vehicle can charge from 0% to 80% in just 45 minutes and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
- With DC charging (110kW/150kW), the EV can achieve a driving range of up to 200 km with just a 15-minute charge. The DC charging port - CCS 2 (110kW/150kW) enables the vehicle to charge from 0% to 80% in 45 minutes. Additionally, using the AC Charging port – Type 2 (7kW), the charging time from 0% to 100% is between 12 to 16 hours.

The 2025 BYD Seal has been updated with several new comfort and tech features, including a power sunshade, silver-plated dimming canopy, improved AC system with faster cooling, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The 2025 BYD Seal has received a price hike for select variants, while the base Dynamic variant continues at Rs 41 lakh (ex-showroom). The mid-spec Premium and top-spec Performance variants have become costlier by around Rs 15,000.
The updated Seal adds comfort and tech upgrades such as a silver-plated dimming canopy, improved AC system, and enhanced air purification, making the premium electric sedan more feature-loaded than before.
BYD is offering festive discounts of up to Rs 2.5 lakh on the Seal electric sedan in India. The top-spec Performance variant gets the highest benefit, including a Rs 2 lakh cash discount along with a complimentary 3-year service and maintenance package worth Rs 50,000.
BYD achieved a major milestone by delivering 200 units of the Seal electric sedan within 24 hours across multiple cities in India, highlighting strong demand for the premium EV.
