BYD Seal EV Festive Discounts
The BYD Seal EV is offered in three variants, with the top-tier Performance trim priced at Rs 53 lakh. During the festive season, buyers can enjoy total benefits of Rs 2.50 lakh on the Seal Performance. This includes a cash discount of Rs 2 lakh and a complimentary three-year service and maintenance package, valued at Rs 50,000. After applying the discount, the ex-showroom price for the Seal Performance comes down to Rs 51 lakh which considering the fact that you are getting 3-year maintenance is a pretty good deal for its case.
The high-end Seal Performance trim features all-wheel drive, powered by a dual-motor system that delivers a total of 523 bhp and 670 Nm of torque. This setup allows the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. Additionally, it is equipped with a larger 82.56 kWh battery, providing a maximum range of up to 580 kilometers (NEDC).
The mid-tier Seal Premium offers total benefits of Rs 1 lakh, which includes a cash discount of Rs 50,000 and a complimentary three-year service and maintenance package valued at Rs 50,000. The price for the Seal Premium is set at Rs 45.55 lakh. In contrast to the Performance variant, the Seal Premium features a single motor that drives the rear wheels, producing a peak power of 308 bhp and 360 Nm of torque. However, with the same 82.56 kWh battery, it boasts an impressive range of up to 680 kilometers (NEDC) with the mid-spec premium trim.
Verdict
A discount of 2 lakhs coupled with a 3 year maintenance package totalling to 2.5 lakhs is pretty good for the overall package. While this is all said and done, there are some conditions and terms attached and it would be best suited if you visit the nearest showroom or official touchpoint to find out more about these offers. On a different note, the brand has recieved 1500 bookings for the sedan in India where more than half are already with their respective owners after the deliveries commenced.
