Design: The BYD Atto 2 adopts a clean and contemporary design language with a strong SUV stance. It features sleek LED headlamps connected by a slim light strip, giving it a modern and tech-forward front profile. The sculpted body panels, squared wheel arches and upright proportions enhance its SUV presence.

Dimensions: The Atto 2 will be positioned as a compact SUV with well-proportioned dimensions. It measures 4,310 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width and 1,675 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm, ensuring a spacious cabin relative to its footprint. The SUV also offers a boot capacity of up to 450 litres, expanding further with the rear seats folded, adding to its practicality.

Features: Inside, the BYD Atto 2 will feature a modern and tech-heavy cabin centred around a large touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster globally and thee same si epxected here. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice commands, and connected car tech, along with OTA updates. Comfort features include vegan leather upholstery, electrically adjustable and heated front seats, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and ambient lighting.

Safety: Safety is a key highlight, with the Atto 2 offering an extensive list of features globally. It is expected to include multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and ISOFIX mounts as standard. Additionally, it comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite, featuring adaptive cruise control, lane departure assist, blind spot detection, automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition and rear cross-traffic alert.

Battery and Range: The BYD Atto 2 is powered by the brand’s Blade Battery (LFP) technology, with battery capacities up to 64.8 kWh. It delivers a claimed range of up to 430 km (WLTP), while city range figures are even higher for the international variant. The electric motor produces up to 150 kW and 310 Nm, offering strong performance for daily driving. Fast charging support allows 10-80% charging in under 30 minutes, while AC charging takes several hours, depending on the setup, ensuring convenience for both home and public charging.

Launch and Price Expectations: When introduced in India, which is expected around mid 2026, it is expected to target the growing mid-range EV segment, with a likely price bracket of around Rs 18 lakh to Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom), appealing to buyers looking for a practical, feature-rich electric SUV.
