Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2020-2025

The G-Wagen has got to be the second most popular Merc in India after the E-Class. With its boxy shape blending a mix of retro and modern elements, it stands out against everything else on Indian roads. The G-Wagen received an updated diesel engine sometime last year, and more recently, the AMG G 63 got an updated mild-hybrid powertrain, along with improved interiors and equipment. The all-electric G 580 is also set to make its way here in January 2025, which will certainly be an interesting prospect for the car maker.

Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2020-2025 Latest Update

Last Updated On 25th June'25: Mercedes-Benz has globally unveiled the facelifted 2024 G-Class, bringing in subtle design changes and more tech inside. The SUV now gets a revised grille, updated bumpers, and new alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin features the latest MBUX infotainment system, massaging seats, and improved driver assistance features. Under the hood, the G-Class now gets a mild-hybrid setup for better efficiency, but it still retains the massive power and off-road capability it’s known for.

Mercedes-Benz launched the special Collector’s Edition of the AMG G 63 at Rs 4.3 Cr. This model is exclusively available for customers who own the very top-of-the-line Mercedes cars, and only 30 units of it will be put up for sale. Distinctively available in 2 colours, it also gets the launch control feature for the very first time.

Power Ride

My car has always been the best for me. It’s easy to drive, yet feels heavy and solid like a true sports model. Most powerful diesel mill in the history of the brand. With the latter featuring some extra features to justify the adventure tag. Visually carries iconic look such as the round headlamps, exposed spare wheel and the side-hinged rear door. Meant for adventure enthusiasts, capable of going anywhere, being at home on any city tarmac.
