Mercedes AMG G 63 - Collector's Edition

Essentially, it's the same AMG G 63 with exhaust tips just before the rear wheels, but with a special tribute to India, and made for Indian customers. Launched at Rs 4.3 Cr, it's available in two colours - Mid Green Magno and Red Magno. Limited to only 30 units, this ultra-rare car is exclusively made for the top-end luxury customers of the brand, so even if you have the money, it's hard to get one.

Exterior specific changes made to it are - Collector's Edition strip and spare wheel plaque, with these two unique colour options. Nothing has been touched at mechanical level, and it still gets the handcrafted 4.0L twin-turbo V8 with a 48V mild hybrid system that puts out extra 20 PS. Talking about power figures, it gets 585 hp and 850 Nm torque. For the first time ever, launch control has been installed in it, to make the drag races even more ballistic. 0 to 100 km/h is done in 4.4 seconds, and top speed is 220 km/h, through a 9-speed DCT.

Verdict
Not just built in India, this G 63 AMG is built for India. Yes, this is Mercedes' way of showing gratitude towards Indian customers who, for the past 16 years, have showered unwavering love on this beast of a vehicle. Be it the G 55, G 63, G Crazy Edition, or the latest G 580 - the electric model. Its colour options are created by studying the effect of Indian monsoons and how they bring hope into our lives.
That said, it's very hard to get one - or nearly impossible - as it will be available only to people who have previously owned a G-Wagon or are existing customers of any top-of-the-line Mercedes car. Plus, only 30 units are there, so rarity is at another level.
