Pros & Cons of Curvv 2024-2026
What we admire in this car
The Curvv offers a distinctive and good looking coupe-SUV design
Could get a 5-star safety rating, making it the safest mid-size SUV
New 125PS petrol engine will offer excellent performance at the price point
All 3 engines get manual and automatic options
Feature loaded including ADA Level 2, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof
500 litre boot space among the highest in the segment
First in segment DCA automatic with a diesel engine
What could have been better
Although big in size, rear seat isn’t as spacious as rivals
Outright performance could be lower than 1.5 turbo of Creta / Seltos
No CNG or strong hybrids on offer (like the Grand Vitara)
- Identical to the Curvv EV apart from revised grille, front bumper and alloy wheel design
- Retains the coupe-SUV look. The Curvv looks impressive in flesh.
- It is shorter than Creta & Seltos in length but wider than most of the mid-size SUVs
- The front is like newer Tata models in terms of DRL and the LED design.
- The side profile showcases the significant, good-looking 18-inch alloy wheels along flush door handles that also aid aerodynamics.
- Distinctive rear with a high boot line, horizontal light bar and a well-shaped bumper.
- 6 colours on offer including dual tone theme for the higher trims.
- The dashboard design is the same as the Curvv ICE, but color theme is changed
- It is a well-lit cabin with good visibility for the driver. Flat bottom steering gets an illuminated logo
- The front seats are comfortable and supportive. Ample space for tall adults.
- Rear seats are wide but lack the overall space of rivals like the Creta Cabin looks and feels rich - does not feel build to a price, nor has cost cutting evident
- Adjustable headrests for four adults. The headrest is missing for the central rear passenger, though.
- Higher versions get panoramic sunroof - this makes the cabin look and feel very airy.
- The 2025 update brings Benecke-Kaliko leatherette seats in a light beige shade, giving the cabin a more airy and spacious feel. Tata has also added a rear sunshade for passengers, along with an armrest that houses two cupholders. Open the curtain of the panoramic sunroof, and the Curvv’s cabin feels even more expansive and premium.
- 6 Airbags, ESP and Hill-hold functions are standard across all trims
- 5 star crash test rating expected. This could be the safest mid-size SUV in India
- ADAS Level 2 on offer including adaptivde cruise control, front collision warning, blind spot detection etc
- High end JBL audio system with 9 speakers including a sub woofer
- Front ventilated seats, powered driver’s seat, updated iRA connected app etc on offer.
- The Curvv is the only car in its segment to offer ventilated seats in the second row - a feature newly introduced with the 2025 update. Both the seat base and backrest circulate cooled air from the AC, significantly enhancing overall rear-seat comfort.
