Tesla Cybertruck Overview

Last Updated on 30th April'24 Price: If launched in India, the Tesla Cybertruck could have a possible starting price of Rs 70 lakh for the entry-level single motor, RWD version. Tesla could use the new EV incentive scheme by the Indian government under which limited imports will attract a lower tax structure. The higher versions of the Tesla Cybertruck, with dual and tri-motors, will cost a lot more though.

Electric Motor: The Tesla Cybertruck EV has three electric motor options. The base entry-level model has a single motor powering the rear wheels. This version makes 315 bhp of power, accelerates from a standstill to 100 in 6.5 sec and has a rated top speed of 180 km/h. The mid-version has a dual motor set-up powering each axle with a combined output of 600 bhp. This helps reduce the 0-100km/h time to 4.1 sec but the top speed is still limited to 180 km/h. The top-of-the-line version, called the Cyberbeast, has three electric motors. With this, you get as much as 845 bhp of power, enough to propel the truck from 0 too 100 in just 2.6 seconds! Top speed gets increased to 210 km/h.

Driving Range: The battery pack and certified range of the Cybertruck vary depending on the version you opt for. The entry-level model offers a range of 400km. This increases to 550km for the dual-motor version. The Cyberbeast, with three motors, gets a range of 510km.

Dimensions: The Tesla Cybertruck is a full-sized pick-up truck. It measures 5,683 mm in length, 2,032 mm in width, and 1,796 mm in height. The wheelbase of the Cybertruck is 3,635 mm. The truck rides on massive 20-inch alloy wheels.

Interiors: This is a proper four-door, five-seater electric pick-up truck. The Cybertruck, like the 3 and Y, has a clutter-free cabin devoid of buttons. Most functions can be performed via the huge screen that takes centre stage. Based on a born electric platform, the Cybertruck is spacious for five large adults and yet offers a very airy cabin, thanks to the full glass roof.

Features:  From shatter proof windows to dent proof body panels, the Cybertruck is the epitome of future ready pick-up trucks in terms of features. Independent rear screen for functions, motorised rear roller shade, touch-to-open doors, powered front bonnet, drive by wire, all-wheel steering, air suspension etc are some of the features that makes this a unique EV!

Colour: The main promotional colour of the Tesla Cybertruck is aluminium silver. However, for nan added premium, internationally, customers can pick from various shades like satin rose gold, satin crimson red, Cooper, satin forest green etc.

Rivals: If launched in India, the Tesla Cybertruck will not have any direct rival. However internationally, it rivals the Rivian offerings

Look matters in such costly car. Must reduce cost as in India the registration expires in 15 years. Reduced cost will give proper competition to other SUVs. Lets see what happens
