
Maruti Suzuki has now finally launched the new 2020 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross BS6 in the Indian market. The car now gets a number of updates and for the first time, is now available with a petrol engine. Check out our detailed First Look Review to know what does the car has to offer now.

Exteriors
The new S-Cross features some small designing tweaks which make it look bolder and aggressive. The large chrome grille at the front and the projector headlamps with LED DRLs make the front fascia look dominating and aggressive. The large air dam and the plastic cladding in addition to the faux skid plate complement the overall look. The side profile however remains similar to the outgoing model while the rear looks get a more elegant look.

Interiors
The 2020 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross BS6 features an all-black cabin with a neat looking dashboard layout. The seats are comfortable and there is a decent amount of space at the front and at the rear. The cabin does feature silver inserts to break down the black monotony and overall, looks really nice. In addition, the car also gets front and rear armrests to increase the overall comfort levels.

Engine, Gearbox, and Performance
Unlike before, the S-Cross now comes only with a 1.5-L petrol engine. This 1.5-L K15B Smart Hybrid motor churns out 103 hp and 138 Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a 5-Speed MT gearbox. Additionally, the owners can also have the 4-Speed automatic transmission with this engine. The claimed fuel economy for the car stands at around 18.55 kmpl for the manual model while the automatic gets a claimed mileage figure of 18.43 kmpl.
Features
The 2020 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross BS6 is equipped with a long feature list that includes modern features such as idle stop-start, torque assist function, automatic climate control, electrically foldable and adjustable ORVMs. Apart from this, the S-Cross also features LED projector headlamps, keyless entry, and push-button start in addition to many more features which makes it at par with the Creta in terms of overall features.

Price and Rivals
The S-Cross competes in a price bracket where we also see cars such as the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Kia Seltos, Renault Duster, etc. The car is priced from Rs 8.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The range-topping model of the S-Cross, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 12.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
