We are just two days away from the 2020 Auto Expo and country's biggest carmaker, Maruti has a list of line-ups which also includes a facelifted Brezza. Several spy shots of the exteriors have been spied like the dual-tone alloy wheels and tweaked front and rear bumper design.
In recent images, the 2020 Maruti Brezza exteriors hint upmarket changes. For starters, we get the ice cube LED DRLs which are inspired by the Kia Carnival. The image-spied here looks like a mid-spec VXi trim. Please note, that the top-spec ZXi Plus will carry dual-tone alloy wheels along with different headlight and taillight design.

Coming to the interiors, they look more or less the same as the pre-lift model. In the image spied, it sticks with the same upholstery design along with the identical interior layout. As for the top-spec trim, we can expect some changes sticking to the touchscreen infotainment system.

The biggest change will be under the hood as Maruti will let go off the oil burner. And a 1.5L petrol unit with SHVS technology will be seen. This engine already comes with the Ciaz, Ertiga and XL6. It produces 103 bhp on tap along with a maximum torque of 138 Nm.

According to several websites, with the facelifted Brezza, we can also expect a 48V unit rather than the 12V existing one. The BS6 petrol engine will also be housed in the S-Cross. Transmission for the same will be mated to a 5-speed manual or a four-speed torque converter unit.

With the Maruti ditching the diesel engine from its portfolio, the sales will surely be affected by this step. It is not sure whether the manufacturer will upgrade the in-house 1.5L DDiS engine to BS6 norms or not. If the demand persists then we can see it on the Ciaz, Brezza, Ertiga and S-Cross.
