Ampere has launched its latest electric two wheeler - Reo VYB. This is an entry level electric scooter introduced at a starting price of Rs. 69,499 (ex-showroom). It is made for addressing everyday urban mobility needs. It is more accessible for day to day usage specifically designed to appeal to young urban riders and first-time EV buyers. 

Design, Dimensions & Utility 

The design of the scooter is simple and minimalist, however in terms of utility the scooter has ample space on the floorboard making it comfortable for the tall riders. In terms of numbers, the scooter offers a boot space of 24 Litres and it also has a max loading capacity of 100 Kg, as can also easily accommodate a medium sized luggage bag. Its practical electric mobility solutions allow buyers to comfortably carry everyday essentials and with just 60 kg of weight it is easy to handle across congested city streets. 

Motor, Battery & Charging

Reo VYB has a hub-mounted motor delivering smooth and efficient performance. It has a Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery of 1.44 kWh, commonly known for thermal stability and safety. The electric scooter delivers a true riding range of up to 80 Km, which makes it a good suit for the day to day usage in city commute. 

The scooter is tuned for maximum efficiency, delivering an impressive range while consuming minimal electricity. However, its top speed is limited to just 25 kmph. The battery life is massive with a capacity to clock up to 1,00,000 kms. The scooter just takes 5 hr 30 mins to get fully charged.

For Battery, degradation of 10-12% in capacity will occur per year, which means for 8-9 years buyers don’t have to worry about the battery.

Features 

The scooter also features a color LCD digital cluster, a premium key fob with keyless start, a front disc brake, and LED headlights and tail lamps, USB charging port - enhancing the overall EV experience. For added comfort and ergonomics, the scooter also features a rider footrest as an essential accessory. Reo VYB also comes with a reverse parking mode.

Colours & Warranty 

Buyers also get a chance to choose from four different color options - Warm White, Pastel Purple, Dark Grey, and Aqua Metallic. The price of the scooter is very much affordable and Ampere also offers a battery warranty of 3 Years/30,000 Kms and for motor the warranty 1 Year/10,000 Kms. 

Ampere Reo VYB is a light weight scooter made for the best day to day comfortable city commutes. A top speed of 25 kmph translates to no requirement of a driving license so that a student or a teenager can also use this scooter.
