With the boom in electric charging infrastructure, a biog question mark was the sustainability of the environment. Despite electric vehicles causing no pollution directly, most of the electricity sourced to charge these vehicles belonged to non renewable and polluting energy resources. To diverge from this controversy, Atum Charge found a unique solution by introducing solar powered charging stations, and they have excelled in their motive.

Atum Charge has installed more than 250 solar powered electric vehicle charging stations in the country in different tier 1 and tier 2 cities as per the requirement of the charging infrastructure and demand. These chargers have been installed in the states of Telangana (48), Tamil Nadu (44), Maharashtra (36), Odisha (24), West Bengal (23), Andhra Pradesh (23), Karnataka (23), Uttar Pradesh (15) and Haryana (14). The company plans to expand its network further to other states.
Atum Charge has installed 4 kW capacity panels which can charge around 10 vehicles daily as per the estimate of 6-8 hours per vehicle. They would also be installing 6 kW capacity electric vehicle chargers which would charge at least 25-30 vehicles per day by reducing the charging time.
Setting up a solar powered charging station requires around 200 sq feet of space and the approximate time to install and run the station is one week, with the cost depending upon multiple factors.
Atum Charge concretely believes in phasing out all non renewable sources of energy from thermal power stations and replacing them with solar power stations as they have net zero emissions. They focus on the sustainable development of the world and are trying their best towards a green future. In order to achieve this goal, Atum charge is also partnering with many other electric vehicle charging stations to supply Atum Solar Roof so that other charging stations can also use solar power to charge vehicles.
