
Harley-Davidson is hugely popular for its big bore cruiser motorcycles. The smallest capacity Harley in India is the Street 750 but now a new champ is coming to join the crew. Harley-Davidson is working on a smaller capacity bike to give more accessibility to first time buyers.
Reports suggest that Harley is working with its Chinese partner Qianjiang to develop a small capacity motorcycle. The HD350 (product code) bike might get a 338cc engine from Benelli. Reports suggest the engine will be a derivative of the Benelli 302S parallel twin. Not only the engine, but HD350 will also share the frame and other electronics as well. The body panels and other bits will also be familiar with Benelli counterpart to make it cost-effective

Benelli is a subsidiary of Qianjiang which is a partner of Harley-Davidson in China. Harley is eyeing small capacity motorcycles for Asian countries which will make the brand accessible for first-time buyers and young riders. The expected price of the HD350 is around 3-3.5 lakhs and it may arrive in early 2021.

The most affordable bike in Harley India portfolio is the Street 750 but that holds the ex-showroom price of 5.34 lakhs and that isn't entry-level bike for India by any means. Street 750 comes powered by a 750cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine churning out 47 bhp and 59 Nm of torque.
