The third Jawa model for India, the Perak made a lot of waves when it was showcased a few months back. It looks beautiful and charming and we have confirmation now that Jawa Perak bookings will open on the 1st of January 2020 at 6pm sharp. Prospective customers will be able to book the Perak both offline and online. The latter via the official website.
Bookings will be open across India and Jawa confirms that deliveries will start from 2nd April onwards. The Perak will be available at an introductory price of Rs 1,94,500 (ex-showroom) and this makes it about Rs 20,000 more expensive than the Jawa (classic) model. But completely worth it, given the extra performance and design on offer.
The Jawa Perak will be powered by a 334cc engine belting out 30 bhp of power and 31 Nm of torque. Do note, this engine is BS-6 compliant. In contrast, the Jawa and Jawa 42 get a 293cc unit with 27 bhp and 28 Nm. The engine will be mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox and yes, the Perak gets dual exhaust outlets that look great! With its quintessential bobber design, the Jawa Perak will definitely have a lot of buyers. It might not be the ideal bike to be ridden on a daily basis, but is surely a keeper's bike as well as your Sunday companion. Other features in the Jawa Perak include a mono-shock rear, 7-step adjustable suspension, straight pipe silencers, a longer swingarm and an ergonomically designed seat with a built-in tail light.
