Top SUVs Launching In Next Few Months - Mahindra XUV700 To Alcazar

SUVs are the new cool, right? Well, we're not saying it but the auto sales. The way this department has seen a sparkling high in the past few years, we present to you the list of top SUVs that will be launching in the next few months. The list ranges include some popular models like the most awaited Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Alcazar and even the Skoda Kodiaq.

Hyundai Alcazar

The upcoming 7-seater option from Hyundai, Alcazar is expected to be launched in the third week of June. The Alcazar carries the longest wheelbase of 2761 mm and the highest boot space of 181 litres when all three rows are up. Under the hood, a 2.0L petrol and a 1.5L diesel will be on the offer and the expected price range from Rs 12.50 lakh to Rs 18.80 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Force Gurkha

Just recently the updated Gurkha has been spotted on Indian roads and we believe the launch is expected to be in the festive season. The Gurkha is the most anticipated SUVs of 2021 and will target the buyers of Mahindra Thar. Mechanically, a 2.6L diesel engine making 90 PS and 260 Nm of peak torque will be on offer at first. A 5-speed manual with 4x4 as standard will be on offer. The price expectations range from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 14 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Mahindra Scorpio

The 2021 Scorpio with an all-new platform, design and engine options has been spotted on the Indian roads many times. Just recently, the spy shots for the same has been spied and the layout borrows some design cues from the already launched Thar. Under the hood, the Scorpio will carry a 2.2L mHawk diesel. As far as the prices are concerned then the upcoming SUV will carry a premium over the current generation that is priced from Rs 12.39 lakh to Rs 17.10 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Skoda Kushaq

The Kushaq will be locally assembled and is based on the newer MQB AO IN platform. The upcoming Kushaq mainly rivals the buyers of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The SUV carries two TSI engine options and the price expectation stick from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 16.50 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Volkswagen Taigun

The Skoda Kushaq's cousin, Taigun too is based on the newer MQB AO IN platform but carries a different design altogether. Both the Taigun and Kushaq will alter from the features list by a margin. Price expectations for the same are expected to start from Rs 11 lakh while the top-spec model stretching till Rs 16.80 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Volkswagen Tiguan

The 5-seater version is all set to come to the Indian market but in its petrol avatar. Yes, it will carry a 2.0L TSI motor that generates 190 PS of power at 4200 RPM with a peak torque of 320 Nm at 1500 NM. This unit is mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. Feature-wise, large panoramic sunroof, touchscreen, powered driver's seat, all-black cabin, tri-zone climate control are expected. Once launched, the Tiguan rivals Hyundai Tucson and Citroen C5 Aircross.

Mahindra XUV700

One of the highly anticipated SUVs of the country, the XUV700 is expected to be launched in October this year. This SUV will sit above the XUV500 and both petrol and diesel engine will be on the offer. Feature-wise, the top-spec model will be loaded and both 6 and 7 seat layout will be on offer.

Skoda Kodiaq

The soft off-roader and a class part, Kodiaq is all set to launch this year with a petrol engine only. A 2.0L TSI motor producing 190 PS with 320 Nm of peak torque and mated to a 7-speed DSG unit. The Kushaq will be launched in a single variant and will carry all the features to rival the popular Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace. The launch is slated for later this year.

MG ZS

Yes, the ZS with a conventional fuel system and not the EV. MG India is planning to bring the ZS petrol by this year only. This mid-size SUV will target the buyers of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks and Renault Duster. Under the hood, a humble 1.5L petrol and a more powerful 1.3 turbo petrol can be seen and is expected to carry a price tag between Rs 11.50 lakh to Rs 17 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
