Tork Kratos and Kratos R Launched In India at Rs. 1.07 lakh and Rs. 1.22 lakh

After several delays, Tork Motors launches its debut motorcycles in India. Both the Kratos and Kratos R are open for bookings here in India.

Tork Motors has finally launched its debut products - the Tork Kratos and Kratos R electric motorcycles. Both are completely built in India. Below we have discussed in detail the specifications of the new Tork motorcycles, but before you proceed do join our exclusive 91Wheels Telegram and 91Wheels Whatsapp group to know more about vehicles, conduct discussions on your favourite ride, and much more!

As far as similarities are concerned, both the Kratos and Kratos R are built around the same split trellis frame. The frame is made of high-strength steel tubes, and it uses the battery beneath as its stress member. Despite the battery being placed low for a good center of gravity, the ground clearance remains at 165 mm.  The electric motor in both the bikes features Axial flux technology that guarantees 96% of high efficiency, and they are powered by Torks Lithium LIION 4 kWh battery.

The Kratos (internally codenamed T6X and formerly known as the T4X), started its journey as a humble Yamaha FZ retrofitted with Tork Motors electric kit. Back then the race bike produced 30 kW of power and 20Nm of torque. The T4X raced at the 2014 Valley Run where it clocked 0-100 km/h in 8.7 seconds with a top speed of 127 kph, and 80 kms of range.

However, in production form, the Kratos are entirely different from the T6X. For starters, it produces 7.5 kW of peak power and 28 Nm of peak torque, and it can do 120 kms of range with a top speed of 100 kmph. Braking duties are handled by hydraulic brakes with CBS units, and the Kratos come with a warranty of 3 years or 40,000 kms.

Some of the standout features in the base bike include multi-drive modes with reverse functionality, regenerative braking, anti-theft system, USB charging, Crash alert, etc. Theres also a front storage box placed at the fuel tank.

On the other hand, the motor in the Kratos R produces 9 kW of peak power and 38 Nm of peak torque. It can do 120 km of range and a top speed of 105 kmph. Just like the Kratos, the Kratos R also comes with fast charging capabilities. But unlike the Kratos, which is just available in white, the Kratos R is available in four exterior color options -  Red, White, Blue, and Black. The standout features are the same as the one available with the base bike, so, the Kratos R is basically a sporty motorcycle.

Besides, like most EVs, the Tork Kratos features LED headlights and taillights, alongside a full LCD instrument cluster, that displays real-time power consumption, gathers trip data, etc. But one of the best features has to be with the mobile app, which doubles up as an instrument cluster with built-in navigation as well.

Post-launch, both the Tork Kratos and Kratos R will compete against electric two-wheelers like the Revolt RV400, Hero Electric AE-47, and the Ultraviolette F77.
