VLF Mobster vs Hero Xoom 125

These two performance-oriented scooters are strictly designed for young people, and every angle of them speaks of it. The Xoom 125 is a very stylish and athletic-looking scooter, and even from a distance, it looks appealing. However, in comparison with the Mobster 135, it's nowhere near in terms of coolness, as this Italian two-wheeler appears like it straight came out of a Transformers movie, and with a tap of a button will turn into a full-size robot. Designed by renowned Italian designer Alessandro Tartarini, this one is here to create an impact.

Xoom 125

Out of the two, if you want a scooter with a balanced design language that doesn't look too outlandish, then the Xoom 125 will suit you. Or, if you prefer the most stand-out looking machine with aggression oozing out of every corner, then currently there is no better option than this beast.

Engine Details

This is a direct comparison between Italian and Indian engineering, as the Mobster 135 is brought here through the CKD route, which translates to it being imported in parts and assembled locally. Meanwhile, the Xoom 125 has an engine that is fully manufactured in India. This also indicates that Hero is a far more reliable product, and if anything happens or customers need parts, getting it sorted with Hero is a much simpler process.

Type Liquid Cooled Air Cooled
Displacement 125cc 124.6 cc
Max Power 12.1 bhp 9.8 bhp
Torque 11.7 Nm 10.4 Nm

This is a huge difference between the two engines. Needless to say, the Mobster 135 will eat the Xoom 125 in one go, and dare anyone try to do a drag race. However, this major difference is also reflected in their price tags, with the Xoom 125 costing Rs 80,494 (ex-showroom) and the Mobster 135 at Rs 1.30 lakh, which is a temporary introductory price.
