Yamaha Re-opens Dealerships In India; FZ 25 BS6 and FZS 25 BS6 Launching Soon?

The coronavirus pandemic and the prolonged nationwide lockdown has hit hard on the Indian Economy. The Central Government has announced a phase-wise nationwide lockdown in the country and currently, India is undergoing Lockdown 3.0. In the third phase of lockdown, the Government has provided some relaxations to resume business activities in a bid to bring the derailed economy back on the track. The automobile companies are also now resuming their operations and likewise, Yamaha has re-opened its dealerships in India. So, is the 2020 Yamaha FZ 25 BS6 and FZS 25 launching soon?

Yamaha Motor India has just announced through its social media platforms that Yamaha authorised dealerships have now re-started their operations in the country after 50-odd days. The two-wheeler maker has re-opened dealerships only at selected locations depending on the situation of the COVID-19 in that region. Also, Yamaha will ensure that the mandatory social distancing norms are followed at all its retail outlets and the customers will now have to first book an appointment and then visit the dealership.

As the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer is gradually starting its operations across the country, it will be safe to presume that the upcoming 2020 Yamaha FZ 25 BS6 and FZS 25 will be launched really soon in India. These quarter-litre BS6-compliant motorcycles are already listed on Yamaha's official website and it is now just a matter of time that Yamaha will announce its prices. The BS6-iteration of the FZ 25 is a completely overhauled version compared to its BS4 predecessor and the FZS 25 is an all-new motorcycle that gets a lot more goodies.

Powering the Yamaha FZ 25 BS6 and FZS 25 BS6 is a BS6-compliant 249cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC, four-stroke engine that delivers 20.8 PS of power at 8,000 RPM and 20.1 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 RPM, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Both the motorcycles also get an all-LED headlamp, a digital instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS, an underbelly cowl, sharp tank extensions, a silver-coloured muffler on the exhaust and more.

Additionally, the Yamaha FZS 25 will also get knuckle guards, gold-painted alloys and will be offered in Dark Cyan, Dark Blue and Metallic White colour shades. The standard FZ 25 BS6, on the other hand, will be offered in only two colour options  Metallic Black and Racing Blue. Yamaha will launch the BS6-compliant FZ 25 and the FZS 25 in the coming weeks. The FZ 25 BS6 is expected to be priced around Rs. 1.40 lakhs while the FZS 25 BS6 will be priced around Rs. 1.45 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
