Last updated on 1st June'23 Evolet Polo: Featuring a quirky-looking retro-themed design language, the Evolet Polo is a cheap electric scooter with entry-level positioning. Apart from its unique looks, the Evolet Polo offers a decent performance which makes it good enough for basic and short commuting duties. The Evolet Polo is being offered in India in a single variant with five colour options and a decent number of features.
Battery and Motor: The rear wheel of the Evolet Polo comes equipped with a 0.25 kW electric motor, which is decent enough to give it a top speed of 25 kmph. The Polo is offered with two battery packs – one lead-acid (48V 28 Ah) and one lithium-ion (48V 26 Ah). While the lead-acid battery claims an 80 km range, the lithium-ion battery returns a maximum range of 100 km.
Design and Features: With a retro theme carried out for its design, the overall appearance of the Evolet Polo looks very unique. The compact stance and dimensions of the Polo, coupled with its unique looks, give this electric scooter a very unique appearance.The frontal look of the Evolet Polo has a rounded theme, with the apron having a curved look from the top. The upper part of the front apron comes integrated with a rounded halogen headlamp, which is further accompanied by a rounded small LED light within a round-shaped housing. Surrounded by chrome garnish, this rounded headlamp is a popped-out unit, which adds some cuteness to the front look of the electric scooter.The front apron also comes with a V-shaped chrome garnish below the headlamp and small pop-out round-shaped turn indicators. There is a small tinted visor sitting above the front apron covering the middle part of the handlebar. The curvy appearance of the Evolet Polo is very much visible in the side profile of the scooter too, with the curve-themed side body panels and inner body panel behind the front apron completing its side look. The scooter comes with a curved front fender and 12-inch alloy wheels, while at the back, it has a simple appeal with round-themed tail lamps and turn indicators and chrome-finished pillion grab rail.
The basic list of features available in the Evolet Polo includes a small round-themed fully-digital instrument console with a blue backlit theme, a USB charging port and disc brakes at either end. The suspension duties of the Polo are carried out by telescopic forks at the front and dual coil springs at the rear.
Colours: The five colour options of Evolet Polo are white, black, red, blue and silver.
Rivals: Priced at Rs 49,699, the Evolet Polo competes with other similarly-priced cheap electric scooters like Okinawa Lite, Yo Edge and Benling Kriti.
