Last updated on 1st Jun'23 Evtric Axis: For those who are seeking a cheap but modern-looking entry-level electric scooter, the Evtric Axis is one decent option on sale in the Indian two-wheeler market. This entry-level; scooter has a pleasant design with decent claims for range and performance, which are good enough to make it an affordable commuting solution usable daily.

Battery and Motor: The powertrain combination of the Evtric Axis is quite decent and basic, with the scooter sourcing its power from a hub-mounted 0.25 kW electric motor. This entry-level motor gives the Evtric Axis a top speed of 25 kmph, making it suitable only for short-distance commutes. The scooter also comes with a 1.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, which takes 4-5 hours for a full charge and delivers a maximum riding range of 60 km. 

Design and Features: An electric scooter, even if it’s an entry-level offering, needs to look modern, and the Evtric Axis fits the bill. This cheap electric scooter has an edgy design, which might be minimalist at places, but justifies its price positioning with a few cool design bits.The front apron of the Evtric Axis has an edgy and slanting design, with its lower part accommodating a wide V-shaped headlamp stretched from the middle. This wide and huge headlamp is an LED unit, with a centrally-mounted projector headlamp and daytime running LEDs on the sides. The handlebar cowl of the Axis looks sleek and edgy too, with the body-coloured panel also housing a small transparent trapezoidal windscreen at its frontal part. 
The side body panels of the Evtric Axis might look plain with no sharp creases or curves flowing through them. However, the triangular side body panels rise upward towards the back, while having a pointy-looking tail lamp cluster at the rear. This cluster uses LED elements for the tail lamp and turn indicators, just like how they are at the front of the headlamp unit. Other elements which add some refreshing appeal to the Axis are a fully-digital instrument console, body-coloured rearview mirrors and a pillion backrest with a square-shaped cushion.With 90/90-12 tubeless tyres at both ends, the Evtric Axis comes with a set of alloy wheels at both ends. The rear wheel has a hub-mounted motor integrated into it, with the scooter also getting telescopic forks at the front and a pair of coil springs at the rear for suspension duties. 

Colours: There are four colour options in which Evtric is offering the Axis on sale – Persian Red, Sun Yellow, Noble Grey and Mercury White. 

Rivals: At Rs 75,482, the Evtric Axis competes with other electric scooters priced at this point, such as Okaya ClassiQ, Hero Electric Optima and Ampere Zeal EX.
