Vespa 125
The base Vespa is the most affordable scooter in the Vespa lineup, and it can be had from Rs 1.32 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Vespa S gets slightly sportier design elements, costing Rs 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom). The Vespa Tech and the S Tech are new additions to the lineup with an enhanced set of features. Given the price range of these premium scooters, there are no direct competitors that they go up against either.

The Vespa 125 is among the more affordable models in the Italian scooter-maker's lineup, but with the same traits.
What We Like
The design remains quite stylish, the light weight makes it easy to handle, excellent paint finish.
What We Do Not Like
Can feel underpowered with two-up, quite pricey for what it offers, lacks many features seen in other scooters.

Vespa 125 Detailed Review
- The base Vespa retains the familiar design that we have grown used to seeing over the years, featuring the curved and stylish body panels, along with the round headlight for that classic retro look.
- The Vespa S offers a slightly sportier design, featuring a rectangular headlamp, redesigned turn indicators, sportier paint schemes, and blacked-out treatment on places that would otherwise receive chrome finish as standard. However, the body panels remain similar.
- The base Vespa and the Vespa S both come with an updated colour palette, which sees the addition of both monotone, and dual-tone paint schemes. The base Vespa comes with 7 paint scheme options, while the Vespa S gets eight.
- The Vespa Tech appears to be based on the base Vespa, featuring the same retro design as the regular base Vespa.
- The 125cc engine seems to be identical to the outgoing Vespa 125, with similar power and torque figures. The newer model continues with 9.3bhp at 7100rpm and 10.1Nm of torque.
- All four variants of the Vespa 125 are built on the same monocoque full steel frame, which makes use of a single linkage-type spring setup at the front, and a four-step adjustable gas-charged monoshock at the rear.
- For braking, all four variants of the Vespa 125 make use of a 200mm hydraulic disc brake at the front, along with a 140mm drum brake at the rear. This setup also makes use of a combi-braking system as well.
125 engine specifications:
| Transmission | Automatic |
| Engine | 124.45 cc |
- The Vespa Tech and the S Tech variants come equipped with a 5-inch TFT screen which gets bluetooth connectivity, navigation, calls/SMS alerts, and music streaming. Rounding things off are a keyless ignition system and LED lighting all around.
- Unlike the Tech and S Tech variants, the base Vespa and the Vespa S do not receive any connected features or even a digital instrument cluster. Both scooters continue with a very basic analogue speedometer with a digital odometer, which is simply shocking considering the price tag.
