Yamaha Aerox 155
The Aerox 155 is a performance-focused maxi-scooter built for riders who want more than just commuting utility. Powered by a 155cc VVA engine borrowed from the R15, it delivers strong mid-to-top-end performance that most scooters in this segment simply can't match. Best suited for young urban riders and enthusiasts who prioritise riding excitement over practicality. If you want a scooter that genuinely feels fun to ride, this is it - but be prepared to compromise on storage and fuel efficiency.

Expert Verdict on Aerox 155

Pros & Cons of Aerox 155
What we admire in this scooter
Strong 155cc VVA engine with genuinely sporty performance.
Premium build quality and aggressive styling that stands out.
Traction control and disc brakes on both wheels add real safety value.
Connected features and a fully digital instrument cluster feel modern and well-executed.
What could have been better
Fuel efficiency is mediocre for a scooter - expect 35-40 km/ll in real-world conditions.
Under-seat storage is surprisingly limited for a maxi-scooter.
Suspension is on the stiffer side, which can feel punishing on bad Indian roads..
Premium pricing puts it in direct competition with entry-level performance motorcycles.
Not ideal for long two-up riding - the pillion experience is cramped and uncomfortable.
Should I buy the Aerox 155?
The Aerox 155 is for riders who see their scooter as a fun machine first and a commuter second. It suits young enthusiasts, weekend riders, and those who already own a practical daily vehicle and want something exciting on the side. If you’re a student or professional looking for a single, do-it-all scooter with good mileage and storage, look elsewhere - this isn’t that scooter.
With Bluetooth connectivity, a 5.8-inch LCD dashboard, and Yamaha's Y-Connect app, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is a scooter loaded with features. The dashboard shows the battery level of the phone, call and SMS alerts, and app features including the last parking spot, rev counter, and information on the average fuel use. The Aerox 155 also boasts an idle start-stop mechanism that turns the engine off after a prolonged period of inactivity. Using this method, the scooter's engine can be shut off when it comes to a stop. The process is then repeated after releasing the clutch or brake. Using the brand-new Yamaha Aerox 155 uses 155cc liquid-cooled engine. In the end, the vehicle uses less fuel as a result. The Aerox 155 has wide tyres, ABS, LED taillights, dual LED headlights up front, and other features. Additionally incorporated are a 24.5-litre under-seat storage, a multipurpose slot, a front storage pocket, and an external gasoline filler cap.
Summary
This scooter brings in many features that are a pleasant surprise and are not found in many of the scooter’s in the current market.
The vehicle is propelled by a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine derived from the R15 v3 that, in this configuration, generates 15bhp and 13.9Nm of torque. The Aerox 155's primary selling feature is that it has the same engine as the R15. The scooter is quick and can easily reach triple digits thanks to the VVA. Because of the larger engine, the scooter feels stable and collected even at high speeds.
It easily tips into turns thanks to its motorcycle-like riding ergos. The scooter sports a front telescopic fork and a rear unit swing suspension, which enhance the ride's appropriateness for quick acceleration. The brakes offer assurance in emergency braking circumstances since the 230 mm front disc brake with ABS and the 130 mm rear drum brake execute the braking duties.
Summary
While the riding and handling of the Yamaha Aerox 155 is quite comfortable, it does leave much to be desired.
It's ideal for youngsters and those looking for the most glitzy scooter on the market. It comes in a range of exciting colour combinations, including the set's finishing shades of Racing Blue, Vermillion Grey, and Metallic Black. The design is appealing despite its complexity. The Yamaha Aerox 155 boasts a sporty, contemporary appearance with edgy body panels and exquisite twin LED headlights with LED DRLs. The huge front end will definitely catch your attention when viewed from the front. The front indicators are part of the body of the vehicle. The Yamaha Aerox 155 differs from other scooters in that it has a spine down the centre of the floorboard that also serves as the gas filling cap.
Summary
The all-new Yamaha Aerox 155 Maxi scooter is anticipated to appeal to the people thanks to its racing-inspired appearance and dynamic unisex branding.
