Last updated on 15th Nov'24: The 1290 Super Adventure S is a high-performance adventure tourer, with bodywork that makes it look rather large and brawny. This is KTM’s flagship ADV, and it gets an updated V-twin engine with 150bhp and 138Nm of torque, making it a clear rival against the Ducati Multistrada V4, BMW R 1300 GS, and the newly-updated Triumph Tiger 1200.

The KTM 1290 Super Adventure S comes with a 1,301 cc LC8 V Twin engine producing 160 bhp of power and 138 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed PANKL transmission with a light aluminum shifting drum to offer smooth shifts. Moreover, it comes with a Quickshifter+ to offer clutchless gearshifts and assist and slipper clutch.

It gets Ride-by-Wire technology to make sure enough power and torque is readily available for your needs. It electronically translates the rider's throttle input to the throttle valve to make sure it delivers smooth performance.

For better cooling, the Super Adventure S comes with two radiators which helps in better heat dissipation, and the air ducts cool air towards the engine to keep the engine and rider’s leg cool. The KTM 1290 Super Adventure S boasts a service interval of 15,000 km.

The Super Adventure like the Super Duke S features premium mechanical components. It comes with a Chromium-molybdenum-steel trellis frame, WP SAT Semi-Active USD forks, and WP SAT Semi-Active rear shocks with electrically adjustable preload.

Braking duties are handled by 2 320mm Brembo 4-piston, radially-mounted caliper dual-disc brake, Brembo 2-piston fixed caliper rear brake disc. It comes with dual-channel ABS with ABS modes.
