KTM 890 Adventure, 990 Duke, & 1390 Super Duke R Confirmed For India

KTM India has launched some of its big-engine motorcycles in the Indian market and the 1390 Super Duke R has become the KTM flagship motorcycle in India. The 1390 Super Duke R comes with an LC8 V Twin 1,301cc engine producing 190 PS and 145 Nm of peak torque. This motorcycle weighs only 200 kg. The 1390 Super Duke R boasts a sharp and aggressive styling giving it a monstrous appearance.&nbsp;

	The KTM 1390 Super Duke R comes with a 1,301cc LC8 V Twin engine. This engine produces 190 bhp of power and 145 Nm of peak torque. The brand made some changes to the motor a year back and it gets a new camshaft, new throttle body, and a new 10 litre airbox among other updates.&nbsp;

	It gets 5 different riding modes to offer an exhilarating riding experience. The default Street Mode offers full power and throttle response but limits the front wheel lift. The second Sport mode offers sharper throttle response and allows for some wheel slip. Third mode is the Rain mode which offers maximum traction and reduces the power of the motorcycle to 130 PS only. But if you want to get your adrenaline pumped then the Performance and Track mode will offer you complete customization based on your requirement and unleash the superbike character of the motorcycle.

	The 1390 Super Duke R offers an aggressive yet comfortable riding posture. The brand has designed the motorcycle to offer a comfortable riding posture without compromising the aggressive stance and appeal of the motorcycle. It comes with adjustable foot pegs which can be adjusted according to the rider&#39;s preference. Moreover, the handlebar can also be adjusted for height.&nbsp;

	The tank area has been kept lean to offer better moving capabilities to the rider while leaning on the motorcycle. It offers a lean friendly posture which is needed while taking sharp curves and during high-speed maneuvers.&nbsp;

	If we talk about the seat, the rider seat offers good space and comfort. The seat is designed in a way that will offer the rider good comfort during intense riding. The seat height has been kept at 834 mm which offers the perfect height for track riding while making it easily accessible and comfortable.&nbsp;

	On the mechanical side, the KTM 1390 Super Duke R comes with 48mm WP Apex Open Cartridge USD front forks The front forks are fully adjustable for pre-load, compression, and rebound. The rear gets a WP Apex Shock which can be fully adjusted. The compression of the rear shock can be adjusted with separate high and low-speed adjusters. However, the preload can be adjusted with a manual preload adjuster without any tool.

	If we talk about the tyres, it rides on 17-inch lightweight cast aluminum alloy wheels, the tyres are shod by Michelin Power GP rubber with a tyre section of 120/70 front and 200/55 rear tyre. The Michelin Power rubbers offer good grip in both wet and dry conditions. Moreover, they offer more traction on straight-line acceleration and at a lean angle.&nbsp;

	Braking duties are handled by 2 320mm Brembo Stylema Monobloc 4 Piston disc brakes with a radially mounted caliper at the front and a 240mm Brembo fixed caliper disc brake at the rear. Moreover, the motorcycle offers dual-channel ABS, cornering ABS, and SuperMoto ABS.

KTM India has launched its big engine motorcycles in India. These consists two Duke models namely the 1390 Super Duke R and the 890 Duke R. The Super Duke is launched at a price tag of Rs 22.96 lakh (ex-showroom) and the 890 is launched at Rs 14.50 lakh (ex-showroom). These motorcycles will be sold at the flagship KTM stores and the first two stores will be opened in Bengaluru and Pune. I like this bike very much! It’s super, powerful, and very nice. I love it smooth ride and beautiful black color. Very good performance and excellent power management.
