The all-new Honda Amaze was launched in the Indian market in 2013 and the second-generation version was launched in 2018. The all-new Amaze takes on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Ford Aspire and Hyundai Aura in the market. This sub 4m sedan looks quite futuristic and the design attracts a lot of eyes. The car gets powered by both petrol and diesel engine options and both the engine options also get optional, first in segment, CVT automatic transmission. Good news is that the diesel is BS6 compliant and continues to be on sale.
The petrol-automatic variants of the Honda Amaze also offer paddle shifters that allow you to take control of the gear-shifts without taking hands off from the steering wheel. The Amaze gets powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 89 Bhp and peak torque of 120 Nm. The 1.5-litre diesel engine produces a maximum power of 99 Bhp and peak torque of 200 Nm with the manual variants and 79 Bhp and 160 Nm with the CVT variant. The car comes in a total of 14 variants and six of them are automatic. The Honda Amaze is offered in five colours in the Indian market and continues to be the company's best seller in India.
