Lexus ROV ConceptUpcoming
Lexus unveiled the ROV Concept, a hydrogen-powered off-road buggy, at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, showcasing its commitment to clean mobility. First revealed at the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon, the ROV is a unique off-road machine powered by a compact 1.0-litre hydrogen engine. Unlike Lexus’s hybrid and electric offerings, this prototype uses compressed hydrogen to power a direct injector, offering a zero-emission alternative for off-road enthusiasts. While performance figures and range details are yet to be disclosed, the concept serves as a glimpse into the brand’s hydrogen future. Currently, there are no plans to bring it to India and the vehicle is on display to just evoke the interest of enthusiasts.
Lexus ROV Concept Latest Update
Last Updated On 3rd Feb'25:
Design: The ROV Concept is undoubtedly a buggy, but it has the ‘Lexus’ touch to it, featuring elements such as a futuristic rendition of the signature Lexus grille, L-shaped lights, and smooth, sculpted body panels.
Powertrain: Powering the ROV concept is a 1.0-litre hybrid engine. While its power and torque figures remain unspecified, it compresses hydrogen from a high-pressure tank through a direct hydrogen injector.
Interiors: The ROV Concept may not be as luxurious as typical Lexus cars, but it still gets premium quality materials. The steering wheel receives leather upholstery and the cabin also gets touches of carbonfibre elements. It also comes with a sculpted gearshift knob, a manual handbrake and silver-finished knobs for drive and suspension controls.

It's a good car overall. However, the seating capacity could be improved. Off-road performance is impressive. A four-side windshield setup would be a great addition for better visibility and comfort. I hope it goes on sale soon — I'm ready to purchase it immediately.
