Mahindra XUV e8Upcoming

Last update on 20th Sep'23 : Mahindra has just revealed its new XUV e8, an electric SUV with three rows of seats. This SUV takes its design inspiration from the Mahindra XUV700. A leaked patent image of the production-ready XUV e8 has surfaced, and it shows that the design closely resembles the concept version.

Mahindra XUV e8 Powertrain: The XUV e8 or the electrified XUV700 is expected to get a battery capacity of between 60 to 80 kWh. Moreover, it is likely to get a 175kW fast charging capability. As the ICE XUV700 gets the AWD tech, the XUV e8 is likely to also come with dual electric motors powering the front & rear wheels of the vehicle & enabling its AWD capabilities.

Mahindra XUV e8 Features: On the features front, we expect Mahindra to equip the XUV e8 with three large 10.25-inch screens. Unlike the dual 10.25-inch screens in the ICE XUV700, the third screen in XUV e8 will be in front of the co-driver seat. Apart from this, the XUV e8 is likely to get extremely fast DC charging capability of 175kW, level-2 ADAS tech, AdrenoX connected car tech, etc.

Mahindra XUV e8 Rivals: When launched, it might get priced in the range of Rs 20 to 30 lakh. Also, when it comes to its EV rivals, it is likely to compete with the likes of MG ZS EV or upcoming Tata Safari & Harrier EV, etc.

Mahindra XUV e8 Launch: Among all the 5 electric SUV’s that Mahindra has announced for launch in the coming few years, the XUV e8 will be the very first electric SUV to hit the showrooms sometime around the second half of 2024.
