Tata Altroz Racer

Last Update on 17th Apr'24:Tata Motors seems to be planning to launch its sporty hatchback the Altroz Racer. The brand has showcased the sporty avatar of the Altroz at the Auto Expo Motor Show and recently at the Bharat Mobility Expo. Per our sources, the Altroz Racer is expected to launch in the coming weeks.

Design: The Racer version of the Tata Altroz is based on the regular hatchback. However there is a new colour scheme and this gives it a very sporty angle. The two tone black and red theme was shown at the 2023 Auto Expo. This also has parallel strips running across the bonnet and roof of the car. The Altroz Racer also gets blacked out alloy wheels and additional body kit all around. While the ground clearance may take a hit, the Altroz Racer does look sporty enough to raise eyebrows easily. 

Engine:  The hatchback is going to be equipped with the same engine found in the Nexon, a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that puts out 120 ps and 170 Nm of torque. This engine will be paired with a six-speed manual transmission.

Dimensions: The Racer measures 3990mm in length, 1755mm in width, and stands at 1523mm in height. Its wheelbase spans 2501mm.

Ground clearance: It is expected to have a ground clearance of around 165 mm.

Features: The upcoming model will boast a 10.25-inch infotainment system, similar to the Nexon and Punch EV, with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It's also the first Tata car to feature a HUD. Other highlights include a seven-inch digital driver’s display, climate control, a Harman sound system, an adjustable driver seat, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, cruise control, and a sunroof. Safety features comprise six airbags, ABS with EBD, rain-sensing wipers, rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera.

Price: The Tata Altroz Racer is an upcoming hatchback car set to hit the Indian market soon, with an expected price tag of around Rs 10.00 Lakh.

Rivals: The Altroz Racer is set to compete head-to-head with the Hyundai i20 N Line.
