Ather has finally launched the 450X Series 1 Collector's edition which gets a much more sporty appeal than the standard 450X. As of now, the electric maker has not revealed the prices and will only be told to those who booked the 450X in case they want to switch it over to a sportier-looking 450X.
This Collector's edition which is also known as Series 1 differentiates itself from the Ather 450X by getting a high gloss metallic black body paint with contrast red accents. As of now, the standard 450X is available in a theme of grey, white and mint green.
Ather focused on showcasing the inside out design of this scooter hence this limited edition Series 1 will get translucent body panels. Also, it will be the first scooter in India to offer translucent body panels giving the inside edge of the scooter.

Athers distinct cast aluminium chassis is visible under the seat and the trellis frame which has been a unique aspect of the Ather scooters. The Series1 edition of the scooter celebrates the engineering, tech prowess, and the performance of the Ather 450 product line.
The Series 1 receives the same battery pack as the 450X which is of 2.9kWh. This one makes 8 bhp with a peak torque of 26 Nm and the initial torque is such that the 0-40 km/h mark is achieved in just 3.3 seconds. This makes the Ather the quickest electric scooter in the 125cc performance segmented scooters in India. It gets four different modes - Eco, Ride, Sport and high-performance Warp mode.
Feature-wise, the Serie 1 gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen dashboard, Bluetooth connectivity, regenerative braking, park assist with forward and reverse mode, illuminated under-seat boot with 22 litres of storage capacity and among others.

Ather 450X Pro is priced at Rs 1.59 lakh, ex-showroom and this Series1 Collector's edition will cost a little more. As said above, the prices for the same is still not revealed. Deliveries of Series1 will begin by November 2020 in all 11 cities - Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Coimbatore, Kozhikode, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.
Consumers who pre-ordered the Ather 450X before 28th of January 2020 are eligible to opt for Series1. The initial batches of Series1 scooters will ship out with black panels and will be upgraded to the translucent panels in May 2021.
