2026 Suzuki Gixxer Launched At Rs. 1.37 Lakh (ex-showroom); New Colours Options on Offer

Suzuki Motorcycle India has given its Gixxer family a mid-cycle refresh, and this time the update is purely about how the bikes look rather than what's under the tank. Every model in the lineup - the standard Gixxer, the faired Gixxer SF, the 250cc Gixxer 250, the Gixxer SF 250, and the flex-fuel Gixxer SF 250 FFV - now comes with fresh paint options, while the mechanicals carry over unchanged. Prices for the range now begin at Rs 1,37,221 (ex-showroom) for the entry-level Gixxer.

What's New

The headline addition across the 155cc duo is a Metallic Oort Gray and Pearl Blaze Orange dual-tone scheme, which now sits alongside the shades these motorcycles already offered. On the 250cc siblings, Suzuki has gone with a Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Oort Gray combination, giving the naked and faired versions a slightly murkier, more understated look than before. The FFV variant, meanwhile, picks up two options of its own, the same Black-Gray combo as its 250cc siblings, plus a solid Glass Sparkle Black finish.

Nothing about the engines, suspension, brakes, or electronics has changed. This is a colour-only update meant to keep the range visually current, likely timed to sustain showroom footfall through the festive stretch.

Ex-Showroom Prices (Delhi)

The FFV continues to be the priciest motorcycle in the family, and it's also the only one built to run on fuel blended with up to 85 percent ethanol (E85).

Engines and Hardware Unchanged

The Gixxer and Gixxer SF continue with their 155cc, single-cylinder, OBD-2 B-compliant motor, good for roughly 13.6 PS and 13.8 Nm. Both get Suzuki Ride Connect connectivity, full-LED lighting, disc brakes at both ends, and single-channel ABS as standard.

Step up to the 250cc pair, and you get Suzuki's oil-cooled single (SOCS), tuned for about 26.5 PS and 22.2 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox with dual-channel ABS. The core difference between the Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 remains styling; one is a naked streetfighter, the other wears a full fairing. The flex-fuel FFV variant actually edges ahead on numbers, with Suzuki quoting close to 27.9 PS and 22.5 Nm thanks to its E85-compatible tune.

Suzuki is also running purchase incentives alongside the colour update benefits of up to Rs 1,500 on the 155cc models and up to Rs 3,000 on the Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250, with finance schemes advertised from 5.99 percent interest, subject to terms.

The Bigger Picture

The timing lines up with a reasonably strong patch for Suzuki in the domestic two-wheeler market. The brand's August 2026 sales came in at over 1.3 lakh units, up close to 5 percent year-on-year, with domestic dispatches climbing faster than exports. Refreshing the Gixxer's wardrobe now, right as festive-season buying picks up, looks like a straightforward play to keep one of Suzuki's steadiest sellers looking new on showroom floors, without touching a formula that's clearly still working.
