Benelli has finally revealed the 502C, its latest take on a modern cruiser motorcycle. The bike manufacturer will use 'Urban Cruiser' tagline for the promotions of its latest offering.

The market launch of the new motorcycle will take place later this month. The new model will be positioned higher than the Leoncino 500 and should have an ex-showroom price of approximately Rs 5 lakh. Bookings of the new model have commenced today and one can pre-book the Benelli 502C for a token amount of Rs 10,000.

Specifications
While the Benelli 502C looks a fair bit like the Ducati Diavel, it's actually a lot less powerful. Powering the new motorcycle is a 500cc parallel-twin engine that is shared with the Leoncino 500. This is the same engine that is also found on the TRK 502. Power and torque remains unchanged as the 502C offers identical 47.5 PS at 8,500 rpm and 46 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. Along with decent power figures, the ergonomics, especially the 750 mm seat height, makes us believe that the 502C would make for a decent middle-weight cruiser.
The Benelli 502C is built around a steel trestle frame that is, in turn, supported by a rear subframe. The motorcycle is suspended on Upside Down front forks and a mono shock at the rear. The wheels measure 17-inch in diameter and come draped in 120- and 160-section rubber at front and rear, respectively. Braking system comprises twin 280mm petal disc with radial callipers at front and a 240mm petal disc up front and a single 240mm petrol disc at rear.
