Tata Altroz

Tata Altroz is a value for money package for those looking for a made in India hatchback, safe, feature-loaded and gives a good driving quality.

Hyundai i20

The most expensive premium hatchback and also the most feature-loaded, the Hyundai i20 is available with a starting tag of Rs 6.80 lakh and the top model is available at Rs 11.33 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It is also available in three engine options - 1.2L petrol, 1.5L diesel and a 1.0L turbo petrol motor.
Compact SUVs
Renault Kiger

One of the most affordable compact SUV in the segment in the Indian market right now, Kiger is priced from Rs 5.45 lakh and the top model fetching till 9.72 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It is available with two engine options - a 1.0L naturally aspirated unit and a more powerful 1.0L turbocharged petrol.
Nissan Magnite
Based on the identical CMF-A platform, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger share more than just the engines. However, both differentiate themselves in terms of design, cabin layout and especially features. The base variant XE of Nissan Magnite has a waiting period of over 6 months in some states.

Hyundai Venue

One known as the most feature-loaded SUV, it has lots its place to its cousin, Kia Sonet. The Venue is available with three engine options offering four transmission options. A 5-speed manual for the humble 1.2L petrol, the 1.0L continues with the 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT while the 1.5L diesel gets a 6-speed manual only.
Kia Sonet
The most expensive compact SUV in the market right now but also one of the feature-loaded along with an option of providing a diesel automatic. Kia Sonet is priced from Rs 6.79 lakh and the top model fetches till Rs 13.79 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
Mid-size SUV and Higher
Hyundai Creta

It is no doubt that Creta is ruling the mid-size segment and has been on number 1 in terms of sales since its launch in 2020. Hyundai Creta is available with three engine options - a 1.5L petrol, 1.5L diesel and a more powerful 1.4L turbocharged petrol.
Kia Seltos
Both the Creta and Seltos shares similar platform and engine specs, however, it is the features and styling which differentiates these SUVs. And both the SUVs have their own fanbase. Kia Seltos is priced from Rs 9.90 lakh and the top model is fetched till Rs 17.66 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
MG Hector and Hector Plus
The 5-seater Hector was just brought in with the facelift so no chance of any discount. Plus, both siblings have been performing well in terms of sales. In other news, there are reports that MG might bring in a diesel automatic soon with the Hector as it has been spied testing on Indian roads.
Hyundai Tucson
The full-fledged 5-seater SUV with 4WD as an option is priced from Rs 22.56 lakh while the top-spec feature-loaded comes at Rs 27.34 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The SUV is available with two engine options - a 2.0L petrol and a 2.0L turbocharged diesel unit.
MG Gloster
The only SUV to offer the top of the line features and which was sold out within days for the 2020 batch, Gloster is available from 29.97 lakh while the top-spec Savvy is priced at Rs 35.60 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The Gloster rivals Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.
Toyota Fortuner
One of the ultimate SUV which has been in the Indian market for a decade now has always been top in terms of sales. Some say its the reliability, others talk about lower maintenance cost or even the butch exteriors and the go-to anywhere attitude. The Fortuner is available with two engine options only - a 2.7L petrol and 2.8L diesel unit. The 4x4 is limited to diesel only.
