TVS Apache RTR 200 4V With Riding Modes Is Now More Affordable Than Before - New Variant Launched

A few months ago, TVS Motor Company launched the new TVS Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 with Riding Modes, Showa Forks and more. The Apache RTR 200 4V was the first and it still is the only motorcycle in its segment to feature these riding modes and premium goodies. And now, the motorcycle has got more affordable than before. That's because the bikemaker has launched a new variant of the same. Here, we have for you all the details about it.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V With Riding Modes

Last year, TVS launched a single-channel ABS variant of the Apache RTR 200 4V to make it more accessible than before. Then, after a few months, we got the Apache RTR 200 4V with riding modes, but these premium goodies were offered only on the top-spec dual-channel ABS variant. The base-spec model wasn't updated then, but now, the company has hiked their prices and also updated the base-spec variant. Thus, now the single-channel ABS variant of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V also gets riding modes, adjustable levers, etc.

The new TVS Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 is the most feature-loaded motorcycle in the Indian market under the sub-2 lakh rupees price bracket. Now, if we talk about the new add-ons, so the Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 is loaded with a lot of goodies, including segment-first ride modes. It gets three riding modes - Sport, Urban and Rain. The motorcycle also gets a dedicated switch on the handlebar to change the riding modes. These new riding modes alter the engine characteristics, throttle response and also the working of the anti-lock braking system (ABS) on the motorcycle.

The company even claims that there will be a slight improvement in fuel-efficiency in the Urban and Rain modes. Also, what's further interesting is that these riding modes can be switched on the fly and thus one need not stop their motorcycle on the way to change them. The single-channel ABS variant of the new Apache RTR 200 4V also gets segment-first three-step adjustable levers. It gets new premium Showa forks at the front with pre-load adjustment. The single-channel ABS variant of the motorcycle is now also available in three colour variants, including the new Matte Blue one.

This motor churns out 20.5 PS of power at 8500 RPM and 16.8 Nm of peak torque at 7500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. What are your thoughts on it?
