Breaking Down the EVOOTER Concept

With the VX2, Hero has coined an entirely new term in electric mobility - EVOOTER - a mix of EV (Electric Vehicle) and scooter DNA. Positioned as a smarter alternative to conventional scooters, the VX2 EVOOTER brings together reliable hardware, connected features, and thoughtful design. From tech-forward commuters to cost-conscious riders, the VX2 aims to cater to all.

Two Variants, One Purpose: Flexible Mobility

The VX2 will be available in two variants - VX2 Plus and VX2 Go, offering different battery sizes and range capabilities to suit varied riding needs.

Pricing (Ex-showroom):

VariantWith BaaSWithout BaaS
VX2 GoRs. 59,490Rs. 99,490
VX2 PlusRs. 64,990Rs. 109,990

BaaS stands for Battery-as-a-Service, a novel ownership model introduced by Hero that separates the battery cost from the scooter, drastically reducing upfront prices. With this, customers can subscribe to the battery and pay per kilometre, minimizing their financial burden.

Range & Battery Options

  • VX2 Go: 2.2 kWh removable battery, offering up to 92 km (IDC)
  • VX2 Plus: Dual 3.4 kWh battery setup, with a claimed range of 142 km (IDC)

Both versions come with swappable batteries, providing charging flexibility and enabling easier battery maintenance.

Tech-First Approach

The Vida VX2 is among the few in its category to boast premium connected features:

  • Smartphone connectivity for real-time stats, ride telemetry, and software updates (FOTA)
  • Remote immobilizer for enhanced theft protection
  • Navigation support via onboard screen
    • VX2 Plus: 4.3-inch TFT display
    • VX2 Go: 4.3-inch LCD screen

Fast Charging & Hassle-Free Usage

Charging is made easy with three options - removable battery charging, home plug-in, or via Hero's public fast-charging network. The VX2's battery can juice up to 80% in just 60 minutes, minimizing downtime and making it ideal for urban lifestyles.

Design That Works Everyday

With a strong resemblance to previous VIDA designs, the VX2 carries a familiar yet modern look, offered in seven new color choices. Key design highlights include:

  • Long, plush seat for comfortable pillion rides
  • 12-inch alloy wheels - widest in the segment for superior grip and ride stability
  • 33.2-litre underseat storage (VX2 Go), enough to store a full-face helmet even with the battery onboard

BaaS Benefits: More Than Just Subscription

Customers opting for the BaaS plan not only enjoy lower entry costs but also:

  • Complimentary battery replacement if battery health drops below 70%
  • Access to Hero's nationwide fast-charging grid during the subscription term

Verdict

Its sleek design, swappable batteries, and Battery-as-a-Service model make it a smart pick for urban commuters. While it lacks premium frills, its competitive pricing and Hero's trusted network position it strongly against rivals like TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak.
