New Gen Renault Duster Spotted

The latest spy shots show that the India-spec Renault Duster continues to carry the rugged and sporty look it's known for. The test mule, likely just rolled out of the Chennai plant, is now being tested on public roads. Even with full camouflage, you can clearly notice the Y-shaped LED DRLs, a stronger front bumper, and a wide grille. The side profile looks tough with squared wheel arches, thick cladding, roof rails and ORVMs with indicators. The rear door handles are placed on the C-pillar, giving it a slightly modern, coupe-like touch. At the back, the SUV gets a roof spoiler, shark-fin antenna, a sloping rear glass and tail lamps that are expected to follow the same Y-shaped theme. Overall, the new Duster looks muscular, modern and ready to make a strong impression on the road.

Interiors and Features

Inside, the new Duster is expected to take a big step forward in terms of quality and tech. The global model already comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and early India-spec spy shots even hint at a possible triple-screen setup, something that would be a first in this segment if it makes it to production. Features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless charger, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents and an Arkamys-tuned sound system are also likely to be offered. Safety equipment should include multiple airbags, ESC, hill-start assist, a rear camera and parking sensors, with higher variants possibly getting ADAS functions. Overall, the cabin is shaping up to be more premium, more modern and far better equipped than the older Duster.
Powertrain

In India, the new-generation Duster is likely to be offered with petrol powertrains. At later stages, a hybrid approach might also be introduced, similar to the international model, a 1.6-litre NA petrol unit with two electric motors. However, looking at the Indian consumer demands, a CNG version might also be rolled out.

Verdict
The all-new Renault Duster is shaping up to be one of the most exciting SUV comebacks in recent years. With a tougher design, a far more premium interior, and upgraded tech, it looks ready to reclaim its spot in the midsize SUV segment. If Renault gets the pricing right, the Duster could easily become one of 2026's biggest hits.
