Tata Motors has launched their oldest running light commercial truck in a brand new CNG variant- The Tata 407 CNG. The vehicle comes with the same reliability and durability factor that Tata integrates into its wide array of commercial vehicles. The robust characteristics of the vehicle have resulted in its success since its initial launch. The brand claims that the Tata 407 CNG is the market leader among the extensive CNG portfolio of intermediate and light commercial vehicles ranging between 5-16T GVW.
The iconic 407 promises to deliver a higher profit of up to 35percent over its diesel counterparts, therefore becoming a much-needed solution for the rising diesel prices today. This said we do not discount the potential of the Tata 407 Gold SFC and the Tata 407 Gold SFC RJ as they are designed for heavy-duty operations too.
As for the Tata 407 CNG, it is designed to be robust and last longer. The vehicle offers superior performance in terms of power output and cargo-hauling capacity. The 407 CNG also has a lower total cost of ownership. Tata offers the 407 CNG priced Rs.12.07 Lakh (ex-showroom) with a standard load deck that measures 10-feet. It also has a decent load-carrying capacity.

In terms of specifications, the 407 CNG comes equipped with a 3.8-litre CNG engine that churns out 85PS of power and 285Nm of torque even at lower rpm. The vehicle is fitted with a fuel tank that has 180 litres of capacity and has SGI engine technology that ensures efficiency and higher productivity. The 407 rides on a front parabolic suspension that offers the best comfort and produces significantly lower NVH levels even while driving on tough terrain. The vehicle is also equipped with a USB mobile charging port and a Blaupunkt music system. The Tata 407 CNG offers a best-in-industry warranty of 3 years/ 3 lakh kilometres, giving the owners complete peace of mind. The company also offers Sampoorna Seva 2.0, a comprehensive service package.
