DAO Electric ZOR 405

Last Updated on 8th May'23: The DAO Electric ZOR 405 is a basic and utilitarian all-electric moped, which is best used for transporting goods between short distances. This basic-looking electric moped is available in a single variant, with a very functional design which should appeal to people who want a cheap mobility solution for transporting small-sized and lightweight things from one place to another. 

Design and features: The DAO Electric looks extremely functional and utilitarian, which might not impress those who are looking out for a modern-looking electric two-wheeler. The very basic design of the DAO Electric ZOR 405 consists of a rounded all-LED headlamp with LED turn indicators on its sides. Instead of having a proper front apron, the DAO Electric ZOR 405 comes with a huge basket, which is decent enough to carry small items all at once. 

The DAO Electric ZOR 405 comes with a compact floorboard placed at a slight height, which might not be too comfortable for taller people. The moped lacks proper side body panels and instead gets a boxy compartment for storing the battery pack below the rider’s seat. The DAO Electric ZOR 405 comes with a split seat arrangement, with the pillion seat doubling up as a luggage rack on which goods can be kept and transported. There is a backrest behind the pillion seat, in addition to a tubular grab rail in front of the seat which can also serve as a mount for the luggage.
Despite its extremely basic design, the DAO Electric ZOR 405 has a few innovative features, which give it a modern appeal and justify its premium pricing. The list of features includes a small and rounded fully-digital instrument console, LED tail lamp, electronic remote anti-theft, front and rear disc brakes, one-click repair function, hazard lights, one key start, three riding modes (Economy, Sport and Turbo) and a reverse mode.

Battery and Motor: The DAO Electric ZOR 405 sources its power from a hub-mounted 0.25 kWh motor, which enables this electric moped to reach a top speed of 25 kmph. It also comes with a 60V 20 Ah lithium-ion portable battery, capable of delivering a maximum riding range of 70 km in the power mode. 

Rivals: The DAO Electric ZOR 405 is priced at Rs 88,656 and competes with other all-electric mopeds like Lectrix EV ECity Zip, Evolet Dhanno and Shema Tuff.
