Latest On Evolet Pony
Last updated on 1st June'23 Evolet Pony: Styled to look like a scooter from the bygone era, the Evolet Pony is a retro-themed scooter which has a unique design to appeal the youngsters. With affordable pricing and decent mechanicals on offer, the Evolet Pony is purely for those who want a basic commuting solution which is cheap to buy and run.
Battery and Motor: The Evolet Pony shares its 0.25 kW hub-mounted electric motor with the Polo, which gives it a top speed of 25 kmph. There are two battery pack options for the Evolet Pony – one lead-acid (48V 28 Ah) and one lithium-ion (48V 26 Ah). Both battery packs are capable of returning a maximum riding range of 80 km on a full charge.
Design and features: While the overall design of the Evolet Pony might make you remind of the scooter from the years flown by, the scooter has been equipped with modern features and bits which give it the quality of an attention-grabbing scooter for youngsters. At the front, the Evolet Pony has a curved apron, which has a rounded design from top to bottom. In the middle of the front apron, just above the compact front fender, the Evolet Pony comes with a wide LED headlamp, which gets rounded edges going by the overall theme of the scooter. At the top of the front apron, the handlebar gets a small cowl in the middle, which is attached with slim LED turn indicators on both of its sides. The curvy theme of the Evolet Pony is carried out for the side profile of the scooter, which is visible in the design of the side body panels which also have a round-themed appearance. The Evolet Pony might be a puny-looking scooter, but its seat is long and capacious enough for two full-sized adults. The scooter rills on 3.00-10 tubeless tyres over 10-inch alloy wheels at both ends. For suspension duties, the Evolet Pony gets conventional telescopic forks at the front and dual coil springs at the rear. At the back, the Evolet Pony tries to appear stylish with its U-shaped panel for the tail lamp cluster, consisting of an LED tail lamp in the middle and turn indicators on the sides. Above the back panel and behind the seat, the Pony gets a large aluminium grab handle for pillion riders. Despite its tag of a cheap scooter, the Pony is decently equipped with features like USB charging port and a rounded TFT instrument console.
Colours: The Evolet Pony can be had in one of the five colour options on offer – white, black, red, blue and silver.
Rivals: The Evolet Pony is one of the cheapest electric scooters in India with a price tag of Rs 41,124. There is no other scooter which is as cheap as Pony, with other nearly-priced scooters like Techo Electra Neo and Yo Edge being two of its rivals.
