The 163.2cc, oil-cooled single-cylinder engine continues from before, and there are three paint schemes to choose from. It also comes with features such as panic brake lighting, dual-channel ABS and more.
The Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 features a sporty design inspired by the TVS Vibe, with a muscular tank that narrows towards the sporty tail. In the 160cc segment, it boasts an air-cooled engine generating 15 bhp and 14 Nm of torque. Hero claims it can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 4.7 seconds

Hero has designed the new Xtreme 160R with an aggressive naked sports bike outlook. The Xtreme 160R caters to young buyers who look for an aggressive-looking bike with a fuel economical engine along. The Hero Xtreme 160R is a traditional street fighter model along with a few new avant-garde factors. The all-LED lighting looks very modern and sleek. The headlights and taillights are blackened giving it a customary look. The bike is compact but has a heavy stance. The tank and the side panels are fused together. The wheels are spoked and the heel-plated footrests have a sporty look. The front fender and the single-piece seat make the bike look muscular and peppy. There is also a digital console. The headlamp offers a strong beam that focuses on high lighting than lighting further down the road. The pillion seat and grab rails are also integrated into the smoked tail lights section at the rear of the bike. The Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 does not have a pillion backrest but has a pillion grabrail, seat and footrest. There is no front seat or under-seat storage.
