Hero Xtreme 160R BS6

Hero has designed the new Xtreme 160R with an aggressive naked sports bike outlook. The Xtreme 160R caters to young buyers who look for an aggressive-looking bike with a fuel economical engine along. The Hero Xtreme 160R is a traditional street fighter model along with a few new avant-garde factors. The all-LED lighting looks very modern and sleek. The headlights and taillights are blackened giving it a customary look. The bike is compact but has a heavy stance. The tank and the side panels are fused together. The wheels are spoked and the heel-plated footrests have a sporty look. The front fender and the single-piece seat make the bike look muscular and peppy. There is also a digital console. The headlamp offers a strong beam that focuses on high lighting than lighting further down the road. The pillion seat and grab rails are also integrated into the smoked tail lights section at the rear of the bike. The Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 does not have a pillion backrest but has a pillion grabrail, seat and footrest. There is no front seat or under-seat storage.

The Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 is 2029 long, 793mm wide and 1052 mm high. The length of the bike is higher than the norm for this segment of bikes but it has a ground clearance of 167mm. This measurement is exactly suitable for clearing the biggest of speed breakers in a smooth manner even though the higher length of the bike makes it a tiny bit difficult for the rider to touch her feet on the ground, especially for short riders. The dimensions are designed in a manner that the riders of every age group can easily use the bike within the city traffic.

Hero has been known for making one of the most reliable and fuel-economical engines. The Xtreme 160R is no different, as the engine and specifications are designed to achieve a good city performance as well as fuel economy. The Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 is powered by. 163cc single-cylinder motor. The motor is fuel injected with air-cooling technology. Even though it is not a part of Hero Motors' 200cc range, it exhibits a 2-valve head. The Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 has a maximum power of 15.22ps at 8500rpm and a maximum torque of 14Nm at 6500rpm. The 5-speed gearbox never missed a single shift. The bike offers a great acceleration rate. It can start from 0kmph and go all the way to 60kmph in a matter of only 5.62 seconds. On the other hand, it can accelerate within 20 seconds from 0kmph to 100kmph. The Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 has a city fuel efficiency of 55.47kmpl and a highway fuel efficiency OF 47.38kmpl. This makes the bike more suited to drive on city roads. The engine of The Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 offers its best performance in medium ranges i.e., from 499rpm to 6500rpm but it struggles to continue smoothly while hitting speeds in the triple digits. 

The Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 has a single-channel ABS. The front disc brakes are 276mm and the rear drum brakes are 130mm. The 17inch alloy wheels are tubeless. The front caliper type is 2 Piston and the rear caliper type is a single-piston. The front suspension has an anti-friction bush and telescopic forks. The rear suspension is a 7-step adjustable monoshock. The MRF tyres have a great grip and offer good stability even under the duress of cornering and sharp braking. The handling is simple and light during traffic as well. The front tyre pressure for the rider as well as the pillion passenger is 28 psi. The rear tyre pressure is also 28psi. The overall tyre and brakes combination provides the rider with confidence-inspiring handling. This results in an engaging riding experience for the rider. 

The Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 has a good amount of interesting features to support its price tag. It has a digital console that is touchscreen and adjustable brightness. The LCD display console shows the numerical values of your tachometer, odometer, trip meter, speedometer and fuel gauge in large legible font sizes. It also has a digital clock and a pass switch. Additional features include XSens Technology, Auto Sail Technology and Side Stand Engine Cut-off technology. It does not have any bluetooth or Mobile app connectivity. The Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 also does not support GPS navigation. It has a killswitch and hazard lights. The digital console has low fuel and low oil indicators but does not exhibit a low battery indicator.
