2023 Hero Xtreme 160R - What Will Be New?

Hero has teased the upcoming model via a photo shared online. This photo shows the bike behind a shutter. However, a glimpse of it shows what new elements it'll possibly get. The first visible change is the new USD front suspension. This means that it'll be more fun to ride around the corners. Additionally, the belly pan has a big '4V' sticker. Hence, the new model will get a revised engine with 4V tech. In fact, the last spied on test bike had an oil cooler. Therefore, we can expect a bump in power & increase in top-end performance.

Apart from it, the other changes will be largely cosmetic. We suspect that it'll get sharp body panels and fuel tank extensions. Also, Hero might revise the headlight and taillight design on it. Meanwhile, the addition of new colours & graphics will be inevitable on it. Other than that, the majority of the bike will resemble the outgoing model. Speaking of its engine, the current model comes with a 163cc single-cylinder air-cooled unit. But, with the teased image we are also sceptical about its engine displacement. Hero might increase the overall displacement to make it more aggressive like its rivals TVS Apache RTR 160 4V & Bajaj Pulsar N160.

The new Hero Xtreme 160R is one of the popular models in its segment. However, it has started to feel dated lately. Hence, an update is pending and Hero seems to have understood the feedback of its buyers. The new model will launch in India tomorrow. All of its details will only be revealed then. We're expecting that its prices will take a hike due to the new engine & added features. Hence, the new bike might be positioned somewhere around Rs 1.25 lakh (estimated).
