Hero Destini 125 XTEC 2022 - 2025

The overall design of the Destini 125 Xtec is similar to the Destini scooter. Subtle curves and large body panels make it look big than its actual size. Xtec uses a rectangular headlight with an LED setup. There is enormous use of chrome around the headlight, front body panels, and rearview mirrors as well. The single-seat is large & wide, and it also comes equipped with a rear passenger backrest. The rear of the scooter is fitted with a large taillight and stretched-out indicators. The fuel cap is also located at the rear end which makes a hassle-free experience for the rear passenger because they don't have to get up when fuel is being filled. 

The dimensions of the Hero Destini 125 Xtec are big enough for the segment standards. The overall shape & size provides the Destini Xtec with a big capacity scooter feel. While the design has started to grow older, the overall dimensions of Destini still make it a good-looking scooter in the segment. The Destini 125 Xtec remains one of the biggest scooters in its segment as well. It measures 1,809 mm in length, 729 mm in width, 1,154 mm in height and gets a wheelbase of 1,245 mm. 

Hero has equipped the Destini 125 Xtec with the same reliable & tested 124.6 cc engine which is also seen over the Maestro Edge. This single-cylinder, air-cooled engine produces a peak power of 9 hp & 10.4 Nm of peak torque. The performance of this engine is very good for city use. The acceleration is spot-on & the amount of low-end torque is also very addictive. We wish this engine was as refined as that of its Japanese rivals. Also, at an ARAI-claimed 54 kmpl, the Destini is a fuel-efficient scooter as well. The real-world fuel economy will vary. 

The Destini 125 Xtec comes equipped with 10-inch alloy wheel tyres at both ends. The braking duty is completed by a combination of drum brakes at both ends. The combination of both the brakes helps stop the Destini in the required time. Feature-wise, Destini is decently equipped. A semi-digital instrument cluster, 12V USB charging port, LED headlight, & Bluetooth connectivity are some features of the Destini. Although the competition offers more features, we would expect Hero to offer more tech such as disc brakes for the Destini. Nonetheless, Destini 125 Xtec is still a scooter that you can consider buying knowing the reliability and the wide service network of Hero. 

The ride & handling of Destini 125 Xtec is superbly well-coordinated. The suspension has been tuned well to insulate the harsh potholes at low speeds. At high speeds, the suspension does feel a little soft. Also, with a pillion, the Destini 125 Xtec rides very well and retains its composure nicely. The handling of Destini Xtec is another area where it succeeds in the segment. The rider always feels confident & the overall combination of ride-handling is very confidence-inspiring. It is best suited for city commute.
