Hero MotoCorp is planning to launch a heavily refreshed version of its Destini scooter. The upcoming Hero Destini 125 scooter official photo has leaked online. 2024 Hero Destini 125 - What are the changes?
Visible in the leaked photo, the new scooter will get a revised design. The rectangular turn indicators will be replaced by the sharp LEDs. Also, the LED headlight unit is also a new one. There are multiple copper highlights on the body panels. We're unsure whether these highlights are standard or specific to this vary 'Pearl Black' colour. Moreover, the side panels and mirrors have a similar copper highlight work.
While the tail section is not visible, we suspect that a new LED taillight will be offered on it. The current Destini comes with the Xtec technology but the newer model will likely offer more features. The possibility of a digital instrument console and connected features like navigation can not be denied.
The new scooter is likely to be a mid-life update for the Destini brand. Hence, a semi-revised shape and new features will be offered. The engine is most probably going to remain unaltered. It comes with a 124.6cc single-cylinder air-cooled powertrain that produces 9 bhp and 4 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. Hero might revise the ECU settings for a smoother ride and better fuel economy.
Another interesting change to note is the introduction of a front disc brake. The combi-braking system will remain as a standard offering but it is unlikely going to get a single-channel ABS.
The current model is priced at Rs 89,894 - 97,182 on-road, in Delhi. The revised model will be priced higher than the current model. Some of its primary rivals are the Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125, and the TVS Jupiter 125. We're expecting that Hero will launch it in the coming weeks.

Verdict
Hero Destini scooter has been a moderate seller for the company. It is a practical scooer that offers a good ride quality and a peppy performance for the city use. However, its bland styling and lack of appeal has not been in its facour. The newer model is expected to change the fortunes for it by bringing in the fresh flair of change.
