With the latest update, Hero has changed the appearance of the Destini and also added some new features, while retaining the familiar 124.9cc engine. Some interesting things such as the longer wheelbase and the lower seat height should make the Destini a fairly easy scooter to ride for nearly all kinds of riders.

Hero Destini 125 Detailed Review

The appearance of the Destini has completely changed with the neo-retro design language. 4

• Unlike the outgoing scooter, the new Destini gets a neo-retro design language, which looks and feels more louder than the subdued appearance of the older one.
• The headlight is a trapezoidal-shaped LED unit with an H-shaped DRL pattern, and it also gets turn-indicators placed lower on the front apron.
• The top-end variant will get copper chrome accents on the body, while the lower-spec variants will continue with regular chrome accents.
• While the base variant gets steel rims, the mid-spec and top-end variant will get diamond-cut alloy rims.
• The tail section of the scooter receives a rather unique design treatment, with turn indicators placed above the tail lamp

The equipment on offer is interesting across all three variants. 4

• The base variant comes with drum brakes on both ends, along with a semi-digital instrument cluster, a front glovebox and a boot lamp.
• The mid variant gets a digital instrument cluster with bluetooth connectivity, self-cancelling turn indicators, diamond-cut alloy rims, and an illuminated start switch.
• The top-end variant further adds on turn-by-turn navigation and a cushioned backrest, alongside the rest of the features already available.

The wheelbase has grown, but there are not many mechanical changes to speak of. 4

• At 1302mm, the Destini 125 gets a 57mm longer wheelbase than before, and it also finally gets 12-inch wheels on both ends.
• The seat height of the scooter has also been lowered from 778mm to 770mm, making it even more approachable for riders of all kinds.
• The suspension setup remains the same, featuring conventional telescopic forks and a monoshock.
• The 124.9cc engine has been retained, and it continues to produce 9bhp and 10.4Nm of torque.
