The Hero Destini has been one of the most affordable 125cc scooters for quite a while, and while Hero has given it small tweaks consistently, it was getting a little too long in the tooth. 2024 Hero Destini 125 Design
Unlike the previous Destini whose design was based on the smaller Duet, the 2024 Destini 125 gets a completely new design which follows a more neo-retro theme. It gets a more trapezoidal-shaped LED headlamp with a projector DRL, while the turn indicators are placed lower on the front apron.
To be offered in three variants, the 2024 Destini 125 gets copper chrome accents on the top variant, while the lower variants makes do with chrome accents. The base variant will also be offered with steel rims, while the mid-spec and top variant get diamond-cut alloy rims.
The side body panels of the scooter also follow a strong retro theme with their shape, and at the rear, you get turn indicators placed above the H-shaped LED tail lamp. The 2024 Destini 125 will also be available in five different paint schemes; Eternal White, Regal Black, Mystique Magenta, Cosmic Blue, and Groovy Red.

2024 Hero Destini 125 Engine and Mechanicals
Hero MotoCorp has retained the same 124.6cc engine for the 2024 Destini, in the same state of tune. This engine continues to put out 9bhp and 10.4Nm of torque. At 1302mm, it gets a 57mm longer wheelbase than its predecessor, while the seat height has also been lowered from 778mm to 770mm.
The 2024 Destini now finally gets 12-inch wheels on both ends, along with a front disc brake as well. Suspension duties continue to be performed by telescopic forks and a monoshock.

2024 Hero Destini 125 Features and Equipment
In terms of features, the 2024 Destini comes equipped with a full-digital instrument cluster with bluetooth connectivity, a distance-to-empty readout, and finally turn-by-turn navigation. It also gets self-cancelling turn-indicators, an illuminated starter button, and a seat backrest as standard. However, these features are available only on the top-spec and mid-spec variants only.
Verdict
The 2024 Hero Destini 125 looks set to take on the Jupiter 125 and the Access 125 with its updated design and equipment list. It has also addressed some of its weaknesses with this update.
